Yeah, I knew they were going too be young looking but wow.
I know we joked about Viera having the reverse height dynamic of Au Ra, but it looks like they're the reverse visual age (female au ra looking really, really young and male looking mature early to late 20s).
Í can't believe people are holding so tight against the idea of male viera being possibly shorter than females cause otherwise what, their virility suffers? I'm seeing so much gender bullshit that I just hope they make them shorter so they disappoint it all.
I don't mind people wanting a tall race, but I agree the justifications that keep cropping up for it put a bad taste in my mouth.

I'm just expecting them to be taller than Miqo'te and shorter than Elezen to fill the height gap in our choice of not-quite-human beautiful men, regardless of where that lands them relative to the women. Somewhere around the same height though.
It's just a matter of preference. Some guys are just turned off by being smaller than girls and somes girls are turned off by being taller than guys. No shame in feeling like that, the wrong move is trying to shame others because they don't like the same things.
And some guys just want to be tall, being smaller than females doesn't even enter in the problem. Female Viera are not very tall when you compare to all the males so not liking something like same or smaller size than females makes sense. Or i'm crazy idk.
I admit i'm just more exited for taller males, because i already play miqote aniway. I'd rather have something more different, than something with more common points.
I don't get it either. Having one race with females taller than males isn't a big deal. If we're talking about real life, men tend to be taller than women, yes. But this is a fantasy race in a fantasy game - it shouldn't be a shock if they develop differently than real humans.
Contrarians looking for any kind of justification to spoil the fact we got a missing gender at all.
Because apparently all this complaining about how male viera HAVE to be x or y is easier than just saying "not what I wanted but I'm glad we got something".
same for me tbh xD they would just be too similar to miqo‘te personally. i‘d have a hard time choosing wether i want a limited race or stick with my miqo boi.
but quite some comparisons show them as the same height at least (maybe a few cm taller/smaller than f. viera). i‘d love them exactly the same size tbh, and it would make sense lorewise! i just won‘t personally like a too drastic of a difference, way smaller (au ra dimorphism) or way taller.

I believe some people may have been in love with the idea of being a special, Dimitrescu momma, monogender race.I don't get it either. Having one race with females taller than males isn't a big deal. Personally, I find it a bit nonsensical that we dismiss the dimorphics and "youthfulness" of female Au Ra with relative ease and the youthful androgyny of male Miqote but are so hyper focused on male viera. It's honestly not a shock that there are those who would criticize because we have gender ideals.

Side note: If ever an argument for missing content, new flash: races are content. If races were not content, then we would all be playing male/female hyur. If this was the case, I'd probably not be playing this game. Races/gender are the entry point of my consideration for an MMO. It's a huge reason I've never played BDO. And hell, one of the first things they did in ARR was add the missing genders. Still, we dismiss the most basic of content which is our character.
