People aren't going to stop and think about whether they should act a certain way tbh. They'll act however they want to because it's a game and they never have to deal with anyone they're attacking irl (unless someone goes postal and stalks them but that's a whole other thing). So, if someone is being obviously hurtful towards people and threatening to party wipe till they get their way, it's kind of warranted that they get poked by a GM to be like "Hey yeah, can you not?" It might not change the behavior but it's better than letting the person think that what they did was okay since no one did anything about it.
I get what you are saying, but when I run into people like that I often just tend to forget about them. Why bother putting any extra effort to remember the actions and report said actions of a single ant.
