That's why different countries have different starting dates for winter. Since it's an international fanfest event it's better to just be honest and say the month instead of the season which is different for everyone. Yes, I know November is fall in Japan... but it's not in America. Also November isn't even fall or winter in Australia it's like spring or summer there.

No. Solstice is June/December 21st/22nd. Summer in northern hemisphere in June, winter for southern hemisphere on that date, and then flipped. The dates of seasonal changes are uniform throughout the world. There's always a solstice in late June/December and always an equinox in late March/September.

Because the data centers are primarily in the northern hemisphere, saying "fall" for November is not inaccurate in the case of the majority of players; it'd be Spring for those in the southern hemisphere.
