I have the same issue with alumen. I think theres 30 something stacks (3000+) in my retainer.
And its barely even useful as an ingridient.
I'm hoping new alchemist recipes will utilize it more.

Well, I wouldn't call it barely useful considering it's in every piece of armor that uses leather (needed for tanning hides) though I still will agree that it's drop rate from Halatali is a tad on the high side compared to the amount of rawhide that lands on the market (your server may vary). At this point, it's vendor trash like brimstone and only the HQs are worth saving up.

I don't consider an ingredient that is utilized by 1 class as being useful enough to permit its excessive drop rate throughout so many different ranking nodes.Well, I wouldn't call it barely useful considering it's in every piece of armor that uses leather (needed for tanning hides) though I still will agree that it's drop rate from Halatali is a tad on the high side compared to the amount of rawhide that lands on the market (your server may vary). A.K.A, why am i still looting this at 50 in high perception gear?

Um, have you not noticed that almost every recipe for making any kind of leather uses alumen?

Everyone keeps saying, sell it, sell it.
Okay, blatantly ignore that its only useful for LTW (again, does not permit its drop rate).
It's currently selling on my server for... 120 gil.
Given that its all purchasable from NPC's from 1280 gil (although it will never sell close to that on market ward), alumen has very limited usability.

Yes but leather finds its way into every finished piece of gear... from Armorers plate and chain stuff to Weavers Felt and Woolen stuff... Even a lot of BSM synths have some leather in it....Everyone keeps saying, sell it, sell it.

So indirectly... Alumen is useful to most crafts
