Alumen to Ore ratio needs fixing.

Is it me, or is the Alumen to Ore ratio majorly off? I spent the last few hours mining and for my troubles I got:

292 Alumen + 27 Alumne +3 = 319 Alumen

76 Iron ore + "13 Iron ore +1" = 89 Iron ore

8 Mudstone + "5 Mudstone +1"= 13 Mudstone

1 Siltstone

1 Raw Amber

7 Fire Rock

2 Lighting Rock

10 Yellow Die + 5 "Yellow Die +3" = 15

I also have 396 Alumen and 198 Alumen+1 with my one retainer. I take it I'm suppose to skin every critter in the game?

Anyone else have this issue?

As it stands for me, and targeting certain ores it's not so bad.
I usually get 1.5 stacks of Alumen per stack of ore.
Currently mining Electrum ore.
After a 2-3 hour mining phase I usually end up with:
99-120 Electrum
10+ Electrum+1
70 Iron Ore
10+ Iron Ore +1
130ish Alumen

I am not sure how you mine but I find that if you don't mess with the depth you end up with a wide range of items. If you try to hunt specific ores by playing with the depth marker you end up with a lot more of the item you're looking for.

Ya, I aim for the ore when it tells me where it is and I still get more Alume then ore.

I more so have a problem that theres about 1 billion of every item in the game and hence nothing is really worth zilch. I mean the whole purpose of gathering classes are to make money by gathering materials needed....but nobody needs anything. Theres nothing really unique or exciting to be dug up or chopped down or fished out there. Its like "Oh look....another Iron Ore. Thats 14 stacks super."

@Karbine I wish ore was worth "zilch" on my server.

Electrum ore sells for 5K per

Cobalt ore 3K per

Mythril ore 4K per

Iron ore ore 1.1K per

Please send some of the worthless ore my way!

I have the same issue with alumen. I think theres 30 something stacks (3000+) in my retainer.

And its barely even useful as an ingridient.

I'm hoping new alchemist recipes will utilize it more.

Well, I wouldn't call it barely useful considering it's in every piece of armor that uses leather (needed for tanning hides) though I still will agree that it's drop rate from Halatali is a tad on the high side compared to the amount of rawhide that lands on the market (your server may vary). At this point, it's vendor trash like brimstone and only the HQs are worth saving up.

I don't consider an ingredient that is utilized by 1 class as being useful enough to permit its excessive drop rate throughout so many different ranking nodes.

Um, have you not noticed that almost every recipe for making any kind of leather uses alumen?
