I appreciate the thought, but I'd rather have non-unisex styles for viera. That was to be the saving grace for "viera unique" styles. If I had one wish for male viera, it would likely be that all hair is genderunlocked, that way females would get new hairstyles and the males would have more options (I thin kin particular, the boyish hairstyle from the females would be a great addition considering the males so far dont have anything that looks similar).

The premise of a race is that they look alike; even male midlander and female Midlander look alike.
I don't think they're trying to make male Viera female Viera without breasts.
Just like female Highlander isn't male Highlander with breasts.
From what I've seen of Male Viera they have a range similar to male Midlander where they can look effeminate but also manly. But that doesn't mean that they're trying to make both genders look the same physically. As such the hair shouldn't exclusively be forced to unisex.

It can go either way depending on how the culture is written. If they take on such strict gender roles then it makes sense if they also deliberately differ in how they present themselves, especially if they don't naturally look that different. On the other hand there doesn't seem to be a strong distinction from the hairstyles we've seen so far.
