What does that have to do with FFXIV though?

Also, the title 'FF Origins' has already been used for the PS1 port/release of FFI and II some twenty years ago, so I'm taking this with a healthy grain of NaCl (and I doubt SE would want to continue working with Koei given the failure of their last FF collaboration Dissidia Final Fantasy NT, which had action RPG elements despite ostensibly being a fighting game hence I presume is where this rumour had it's origins...).

And if in the remote chance it is true, it is almost guaranteed to just be yet another spinoff game and not a proper main series FF title, as the next in line of the main series FF games still to come is already announced and known (FFXVI, produced by none other than Yoshi himself).

Really, until SE themselves announce it, don't believe everything you read or hear, especially on the internet.
