I agree that the whole idea of eureka and bozjha is awful. I hate having to go into a open area and just mindlessly grind out boring fates to then join a big fate to then go right back to smaller fates. I still want hard solo content like with the first step we did fighting the emperor in kids mind.
What I really want is for SE to give us a mage tower like instance (solo) where our skill with the job is what gives us the part we need to add to the relic.
I like that idea, a solo like POTD/HH for relic. The relic is supposed to be something you can solo (or at least just hop on DF for). If people had time to arrange the equivalent of raid groups, well they'd be doing those weapons instead.
It does give me an idea about the POTD part for the current relic though, which is have the items purchased with aether like the aetherpol pieces. Getting the aether is a bit random, sure, but nothing like the awful drop-rate a solo person can expect in POTD.

I am getting quite frustrated with FATE scaling in Zadnor. In a populated instance, and a group already roaming zone 3, you are LUCKY if you can actually get to a FATE in time to earn a gold - even as a tank. They die so quickly, frankly half a group is enough to clear some of these before others can even get there. Almost to the same extent in zone 2, it's very annoying.. Even more so due to the first stage (3 quest, 3 zone) relic drops being partly tied to these FATEs.
Yeah, I'm all but certain there's going to be a maintenance to address this. There's no reason a fate in a full instance should be getting nuked down in less than a minute with only a handful of people present in an area with 2-3 full active parties worth of people.I am getting quite frustrated with FATE scaling in Zadnor. There has to be. This needs to be addressed. It's ridiculous. I am going in on tank with essence and the best I can pull is a silver the majority of the time in zone 3 and that's me rushing in as soon as it's popped! I can pull a gold on occasion, but it's more of a waste of time than anything else - the travel time and no reward.

If you're not having fun, then it's best to just not do it. For example: I spent like... 10 minutes in Pagos and haven't touched any of this stuff since. I don't find it fun, so I don't play it. Though it is annoying that so much cool stuff is locked behind it, but ah well. Least most of it can be bought on the marketboard. And most recently they added one of the emotes from past eurekas, so hopefully they'll later add moogle events that make it so you can get some of the bozja rewards that way instead of going through the grind.

Yes, another player and I were able to complete a FATE in less than 10 seconds in the 3rd zone. However, I think this FATE scaling might be by design considering the quantity of FATE item drops required to complete a relic weapon. The developers may intend for fast and frequent FATE spawns and endings.
