As a male player with male character, I feel as much left out since patches. Why is every freaking hairstyle first of all unisex and second based for female characters??
I dont think this is about Viera and Hrothgar anymore. It's basically laziness in their design department.

This is my question. At this point it isn’t just hairstyles but also glams at this point. Nier gave us 2b and no male equivalent. All these new hairs are either weird androgynous catered to females or just straight female hairstyles. I’m getting really annoyed that they aren’t showing any diversity whatsoever.

That's not how it works at all. A hairstyle doesn't have a separate model per face type. It also does not need to be remade from scratch. It could merely be modified to fit the other head. Even in this thread you have examples of modders doing just that. There is so much benefit of the doubt so many of you just pour unto Square. A brief dip into the modding community shows that such presumptions are misplaced though. It's not nearly that extensive to do, especially for all the time they've had to potentially do it. This is hardly the only sin by the Square dev team though. Like, it's beyond me how anyone can tolerate the disgustingly lazy and pointlessly horrible base feet in the game for example, but I digress. It shouldn't have to be left to modders to fix these types of problems. There's nothing wrong with expecting and calling for more from a corporate product seller.

The people asking about the purpose of this thread clearly don’t understand that venting and being exasperated are valid reasons to post. If no one said anything at all, would the situation get resolved? No, SE would think that everyone is pleased and fine with how things are being handled, and at this point that is unacceptable. When Square tries do reduce work to make hairstyle exclusive for men, ppl cry about it. Right now "Unlocking" and "unisex" works better for feminine characters but for masculine characters ? Not really.
