How many weeks do we need to keep doing the Nier weekly quest?

I hope we get to keep doing it for a while. I like getting the little messages, and it's interesting to see what's happening with the dwarf village. It's kind of chill to just run through the raid and be on the lookout for some items and reminds me of the way you have to play Nier multiple times to get the endings.

I haven't played Nier myself either, but I was intrigued enough to read up on the story and watch some portions of playthroughs.

There's not much story left to tell, honestly, and what they did tell wasn't that great to begin with. I enjoyed the raids for what they were, especially Puppet's Bunker, but the story was abysmal at best. If you want a Nier fix I would recommend playing Replicant and Automata. The raids do NOT do either of them justice in the slightest.

Again though, all of these implications literally mean nothing to someone who hasn’t played the nier series. That’s absolutely horrible writing. Even if the epilogue is okay, it really isn’t going to make the story any better for me because it made me have to sit through however many weeks of these boring quests with barely any info. I’ve already barely understood any of the references or story of this questline as it is outside of the handwave of “oh they’re aliens”.

At best the song titles can be related to XIV thematically, however we'll see what comes of the future quests.

If the eplilogue is good it may leave us off with something nice, but it will not excuse the story of the raids themselves being as poor as they were.

In terms of gameplay I loved the Nier raids (Though the Tower REALLY could have used more visual variety. Three bosses in the bland cyberspace area, really? I wonder if the raid environment was rushed due to covid delays or something.)

The glams I mostly enjoyed, many of them were samey especially in puppet's bunker but at least they were dyable to offset that, something we dont' normally get from alliance raid gear.

But the story was just bad, coming from a Nier and especially Automata fan.

The epilogue at best will be a cherry on top of a questionable cake, at worst just more of the same.

My decision to delete a character has nothing to do with Yorha.

One of the reasons why I like that there are so few account-wide features in this game is that I get to start "fresh" with a new character whenever I want.

Well ... that was ... underwhelming to say the least.

One cutscene (that might even have been a dream?); a single orchestration roll, similar to a better one we already got; and a long scroll showing that literally every single server went 2-to-1 for Annogg.
I don't even remember what that meant. "Trust 2P?" Did *ANYTHING* change if you picked the other one?

It also unlocked New Game+ for the NieR raids. I guess I have a tiny, tiny sliver of hope that the conclusion is different on NG+ , given the source? But I'm just going to wait for someone else to find out.

On the one hand, New Game Plus might give something new if you take the other twin's side at the point where you have to choose between them, with a different quest for each choice - so something could happen differently once both are marked as done.

On the other, NG+ may well involve waiting another six weeks to get through the time-gated quests only to find nothing new at the end.

I don't even remember who I picked lol. I know I did one on my main and one on my alt but forget who did which and I never noticed any differences.

Check to see if you have "Heads, I Win" or "Tails, You Lose" completed.
I expect this is either a case of Yoko taro trolling or we will see another patch in 6 weeks.
