If that much is still not 'significant' by your standard then I'm unsure how large do you want an increase to be, considering DPSes already have their own damage increasing traits.

Look, your issue is with the horrible design of this place, not the people who OBVIOUSLY are going to try to avoid as much of this garbage as possible as they work towards their relic. I'll adjust if I need to, but for now the bare minimum is working, so that's where I'll be.

Here's the last batch of 559 I got from farming for 1.5 hours with only 2 people. In an 8 man party, you can separate into 3 sub-groups and farm them ~3x as fast. This would net me enough essences to complete every single available relic through DR and more lmao.

The last two are sale histories because I sell the excess to people going for the earrings.

First, I don't think the essences for DPS classes are a significant DPS increase. They mainly seem to just make DPS tankier; which is kind of moot since I'm not really dying much. The few I've gotten that do increase my DPS seem trivial, so I'm not going to sit around Bozja farming them.

This is what happens when you tie the relic to a dumb gimmick zone most people don't enjoy; they're going to do the bare minimum. If showing up with only Lost Cures stops working I'll consider either spending more time in Bozja or dropping the relic entirely. Until then, the situation is what it is.

They are a significant but if you do not feel that way then no amount of math will sway you. In general I do agree that is the problem with locking content behind content people do not like.

Ugh, if you say so. Showing me that you have a lot of fragments and then inventing a narrative around them isn't evidence, but for the sake of discussion I'll take this at face value.

I'm not putting together a group to farm trash in the beginning area for this. That's ridiculous; I've spent 14 levels running Bozja properly and have only a handful of useful essences. That's all they'll be getting out of me until there's a gun to my head and a choice to either farm the essences or abandon the relic. This is dumb. Bozja is dumb.

I have no motive to lie. In fact, I make 300-500k gil per stack of 99 I sell, so it would actually be counter to my interests to disclose how to get so many.

They drop at a 100% rate from the rank 2 mudpuppies, and what feels like a 60-70% rate from the rank 1 mobs nearby. Linked is a gif of me killing one pull of mudpuppies solo and getting 9 (one died before I hit record so only 8 are visible).

Hey, for whatever it's worth I give you some respect for putting in the effort to evidence your claims.

That said, the rest of what I said still applies. I'm not going to put together a group to sit around farming trash in Bozja, and I'm probably not going to do it solo either. It's dumb and as of right now I don't need to in order to get my relic. The things I do need to do in order to get my relic obviously don't reward essences in any meaningful way, so I guess that's just unfortunate for everyone.

Greetings, fellow players. To get to the point, Final Fantasy XIV has a terrible culture of enabling. Enabling what? A lot of things. Bad habits, such as kicking people from novice network for trying to correct poor play. Creepy habits, such as the various illicit PFs and what happens there in. Enabling poor play and coddling players is probably the most visible. Such as for example a mentor got dogpiled on in Siren's NN for trying to correct a player whom had not done their job quest, because they "didn't feel like doing them". Honestly this probably the most toxic aspect of this game and its community. What can we do about it? It seems to infect almost every corner of this game.

Stand up and be a beacon of toxicity. Call people out. Tell them they're being ridiculous. People need to wrest control of FF14 back from the safe space babies.
