    It depends, when samurai was released it was "okay" but monk was still better, Red Mage quickly become the "Rez mage" walking meme, and while DRK was released on quite good state (mostly due to a MAGIC raid with a tank that is good against magic), AST was so bad that had to be buffed constantly until it was broken op as hell.

    They tend to err on the weaker scale usually then buff it on the following patches if needed

    I suppose this is more speculation than expectations but idk why, it looks like Reaper has alot of multi hit attacks or an attack that seemingly does damage to the enemy more than once within a gcd but maybe that's wishful thinking. They seem to avoid making alot of multi hit moves (only ones I can think of it DRK's level 60 move and Dream within a Dream on Ninja)

    I would love seeing more multihit attacks that actually register as multihit attacks (i.e. Phantom Flurry's stream of numbers) rather than just giving you out a single number. Go for that 99-hit combo juggling the enemy between you and your fang-blob.

    I'd like to see more skills like Phantom flurry myself. Not only is it a channeled attack but you can press it again for a finisher or different attack altogether.

    Sounds like a concept for a proper Assassin job, which I would really enjoy.

    Maybe I’m just crazy, but I think Reaper may be a sign of giving some normal jobs instant death abilities like Blue Mage, and possibly inviting BLU into the normal scheme.

    I say this because other than Marluxia in Kingdom Hearts, Reapers have never really had a basis in Final Fantasy, other than appearing in the animation of Instant Death spells. It would honestly be weird not to give Reaper an instant death skill.

    I think in EndWalker this might also be practical in more complex high level dungeons (if they up the ante). Right now everyone knows it’s normal to just pull wall to wall and burn the trash. Well, if endwalker’s trailer is anything to look at, there’s gonna be a lot of trash to fight in the “final days”. With more enemies to kill, Instant death becomes something more of a practical mechanic.

    I never understood why this game is lacking in the way of job action animation glamours. Warcraft's glyph system always seemed like a simple enough concept to implement.

    It was the same with Dancer too. It's damage was so low even with our buffs to consider that all our basic combo tools got a potency buff by 50 points each back in 5.1.
