Perhaps these Moglets are descendants of Lopurrets who came from the Moon; this faction wishing to live on the world rather than simply gazing at it. Perhaps they abandoned their duty on the Moon to do this, or perhaps they were banished for some ill-considered deed? Settling upon the earth, over time their appearance changed to help help them live in their new home.

i liked the way you linked then with the Loporrits, but i think we still need to know more of then, since we have some theories that maybe someone created them.

But i like to think the loporrits lived on Hydaelin, and due to some umbral calamity, some moglets went to the moon and became loporrits in some way.

Ah good point. Will have to think about it... need more info on Lopurrets... I like your idea though. Perhaps it wasn't them coming from the moon, but to the moon?

yes, i think i put it in a confuse way, but all the loporrits were moglets, and when they arrived in the moon, due to some characteristic of the moon, turned these moglets into loporrits. (or maybe the loporrits are just hiding their pom and wings :P)
