Bloodborne popularized that style, so yes Bloodborne is the inspiration for a lot of it's use today.

I wouldn't say it popularized it. It is a common styling with pretty much any vampire type setting. It is perhaps the most recent, but to even remotely say that something is inspired by what is quite a common design trope for "dark" characters and settings is stretching it.

We can see this style in Van Helsing movie (2004) and I'm pretty sure we can find something even older. It is somehow some kind of "victorian dark cowboy", just replace the weapon and dye in black/dark grey.

Not necessarily, especially modern vampire movies. It's a trope of old world lovecraftian settings, and some older Vampire movies did use that style but Bloodborne is what brought it into modern gaming in the most visible way.

I think what's more confusing is how you seem offended by the associations. They aren't bad by any means. If anything it shows just how well done these things were because they were inspired by past creations and/or historical fashion trends.

I reiterate what I put before, the important part in bold.

It IS the most recent big game that uses a similar style, and considering the dev team released the Cryptlurker sets which look straight out of the Souls series, well...put 2 and 2 together.

There's too much coincidence for it to not be intentional.

We have. Castlevania. But like others here have mentioned, it's all part of the Victorian gothic genre. Bloodborne is just the most recent incarnation.

They had a spectral skill that gave them a scythe & could use a giant Lich (turn into)
