Still hoping for dorky machine lifeform glamours, so I can look like a semi-crappy robot cosplay in my game.
It would bring me much joy.

This epilog better blow my socks off. Cause so far these past raid quests are flatter than a lalafell's chest. Yes there's some head tilting and facepalming put in there by Galugg's behavior and Konogg's last two messages, but they still haven't felt like it's grounded Neir into the world of XIV. Don't get me wrong I loved all of the fights and even the Dwarf sections up to these post raid quests while shrugging and sighing at the Nier parts. As it comes off as none of it mattered and if it wasn't for the seed being around nothing would have happened. I can't wait for 6.0 and the Myths of the Relem.
It's funny for me because it's only this last week that has truly intrigued me withThis epilog better blow my socks off. Cause so far these past raid quests are flatter than a lalafell's chest. finding out Anogg was mad at the world and wanted revenge. Makes me wonder if they're implying she somehow summoned the Seed / machine lifeforms to the First
It really is interesting and it reminds me of ...
Drakengard 3. The protagonist Zero hated the world for what its done to her and as she lay dying she pretty much wanted it to die and that's when the Flower came to her. So maybe the lingering hatred of the dying dwarf did summon the Seed to the 1st?
Again though, all of these implications literally mean nothing to someone who hasn’t played the nier series. That’s absolutely horrible writing. Even if the epilogue is okay, it really isn’t going to make the story any better for me because it made me have to sit through however many weeks of these boring quests with barely any info. I’ve already barely understood any of the references or story of this questline as it is outside of the handwave of “oh they’re aliens”.
Right, especially given that final boss in the raidIt really is interesting and it reminds me of ...

Yep, agreed. I haven't played NieR or Automata. The only reason this part intrigued me was because I have played the Drakengard series. But the raid and these follow up quests have just been terrible writing.Again though, all of these implications literally mean nothing to someone who hasn’t played the nier series. I hope we get to keep doing it for a while. I like getting the little messages, and it's interesting to see what's happening with the dwarf village. It's kind of chill to just run through the raid and be on the lookout for some items and reminds me of the way you have to play Nier multiple times to get the endings.
I haven't played Nier myself either, but I was intrigued enough to read up on the story and watch some portions of playthroughs.
I think this questline has gone long enough. Hopefully the epilogue will be the last one and I'm sure Yoko Taro will continue things in one of his gacha games.
