I have no clue how to begin to unpack your post there. You're comparing an archived Reddit thread's upvotes (back when most thought Hrothgals were "Prob not gonna happen") featuring art that's originally taken from a Pixiv account posted on the internet 8 years ago toooooo direct twitter likes for new fan-art made post confirmation from someone with almost 7k followers. That Gender swapped Ronso art is so reposted and unsourced that people literally think it's official concept art for Ronso females and treat it as such.
That doesn't make any sense to me ... but go off if you want, I don't care for lessening anyone's enjoyment of fan art.
As for why they would even consider looking at fan art for Viera males it's important to understand the differences here.
- That thread is massive. Over 7 times larger than this one and many times larger than the reg Viera threads before ShB. Most of the discussion there are circular fights about their looks using fan art. Their passionate fights over their appearance was so active and big that 2 years ago YP had to tell people to stop suggesting child looking models (that was the death blow to the very loud Child Male Viera Faction). The huge amount of fan art and discussion circulating on other social media platforms even prompted the creator of Viera to chime in about what fan art he liked for the male's looks. That is likely why they took "some inspiration from fan art"
- Female Hrothgar have less than a fraction of the amount of fan art as Male Viera in any social media space, this thread is very slow in comparison and most of the pics here isn't even art of "Female Hrothgar". This would imply that people in the fan base aren't nearly as impassionate about their appearance as Male Viera fans, which would make sense given that Hrothgar are an attempt to appeal to people outside the current player base.
And to suggest that new art would affect anything you would have to assume that they haven't started working on them yet at all, and given what we have to show (in game art and the custom Femroe Queen body that matches the in game art) I would have to disagree personally.
Anyway, as for the first art, that's an abstract teaser for the Queen fight. She doesn't have huge hips, she's actually sitting down ... and she doesn't even seem to have arms. It's supposed to look kinda like it so that once you see the Queen in her go-go gadget throne you go "oooooh!".

The abstract origin is of course why nobody would be taking that down to reference sheet in deciding what the community wants and would rather see more varied yet contemplable 'data'. The second closest to the genderbent Khimari is an female hrothgar art done by CookieHana which is...just past 1.3k likes. Someone with 20k followers. If such a small sliver of their direct fans/active or new players liked it then that is either sad or it is content that her general followers do not prefer following. Reducing the base of those likes to potentially be new players...is grim.
So we agree people looking for a well varied design to see and play with from the rest of the females races are not "impassionate"?
To say they have not started AT ALL isn't realistic when even you should already know the devs had something in mind for the race but then locked Hrothgar to one gender. So held off on it with artistic ideas in unexplorable cutscenes, tinkering a custom body on a race for what is considered by the community the most unappealing/conventionally unattractive gender of a unappealing race and taking the place of what is intended to be a female of a "bestial" race is more like it. Retcons are a thing and SE has made surprises in going with or against the grain before. You could imply progress has continued and has room to tinker some more. Being stressed from a pandemic and now having to make heads that would work with a unique mesh 'fur' asset for females and then readjust the body to fit with said mesh. The creator of Viera also had an idea for Males beforehand as well so how much fanart affected that is anybody's guess but the team still stated they used some anyway.
As with the first art...exhibit...head. You agree the seated body is very exaggerated and vague, yet they chose a face style that is different from the ones in mural 2. Do Hrothgar queens get a more animal head when queen? Did the first queen have a more animal looking head and it got bred out of the gene pool? Id say unique faces to chose from, flat to more animal. We do not care if it is a teaser for a fight. We are seeing it as a teaser towards aspects of a Female Hrothgar. Congrats on describing your player story experience when fighting her unicycle, come join savage and lets boop lioness snoot.

I'm really hoping that the fem hrothgar get a orange fur option!

I hope they're cool looking. But... I think they will be "cutesied" up in some way shape and form. I mean we already have female miqo which in any MMO is the female beastrace to the super monstrous male counterpart if that makes sense? I do hope they are as macho as the male Hrothgar though, and what I mean is= have them at least look as if they belong to the same race unlike au'ra. Make them tall and bulky- not as bulky but they definitely do NOT need human female breasts.
If you think they wont have breasts your delusional, simply for the sake of gear fitting they're gonna have them

The sexual Dimorphism of Au'ra is really over the top. Plus there's so many femme female options.
Someone was saying that a more masculine female wouldn't be as popular. Even if that's the case, there's already so many cute female options in the game, don't you think you have enough choice already? What about women who want to be more heroic and physically powerful? You're basically stuck to femroes, and they're literally just tall.
pain

My dude, I'm not at all interested in your attempt to use numbers for some imaginary fight. I'm happy for you if you enjoy the influx of some selection of new Hrothgar Fan Art.
Personally I don't think it affects anything as getting any inspiration from fan art for Male Viera seems ... like a logical result of how powerful that movement was with the fact that even the man behind Viera partook in commenting on them. Game has added a number of genders and races without doing that, so it speaks volumes to the force behind Viera Males.
The act of making a new race takes a ton of effort and given what the game has given us I'm 100% sure they have been working on them already and that what we're seeing in Bozja is the signs of that.
Not even trying to convince you, just commented to your post to tell you the situation behind the Hrothgar Reveal art as they touched on it in the 1 decently deep exploration of their design process for em.
There is nothing wrong with sexual dimorphism. Girl and guy Au Ra are different heights, but they share enough core features that they don't look anymore out of place than an NBA player and their SO.
------
As for the stuff above, this is a failing of the CC in this game. Outside of breast size and height, there's nothing you can do to change your body shape and as such people pin all their hopes on a race being added that matches their preferred shape (*See Male Viera). So I get it, this is the last one and some people want their idea of a body shape. But this is also the only opportunity for people who like beast/ furry races to get a female option and anything close to making them look like men or as/ more masculine than Femroe (who are so rare because so few are into playing such masculine looking women) would be a terrible disservice. It would be servicing a fraction of a fraction which seems bonkers to me and would force anyone who wants to play a beast female into having their only option look like a man.
That's why I don't see them going that direction at all personally ... the point of this race is to draw in Western MMO fans who like playing Beast races like Khajiit, Tabaxi and WoW beast races and such.
