This whole questline has just felt like a boring chore for a story i know literally nothing about besides the scraps they give each week. At this point i don’t think the epilogue will really change that.

maybe there is more nier in endwalker if you read the display in the puppet bunker it talks of a lunar base
"Stop right there, criminal scum! Nobody breaks the terms of service on my watch! I'm reporting your illegal mods, now enjoy your time in gm jail."
More than likely speaking of the moon base in Nier Automata, which contains all of humanity's memories that have perished long before the aliens arrived and waged war against the YoRHa units.

"Stop right there, criminal scum! Nobody breaks the terms of service on my watch! I'm reporting your illegal mods, now enjoy your time in gm jail."

Big spoilers for Nier Automata
The display talks of a lunar base, yes. This base is where the humans have supposedly retreated to, but the humans are all dead. All of the orders and messages you hear from the base are either recordings or fabrications. It was further explained in the light novel that the base merely contains preserved human DNA and the base is set up so that most of the people operating it don't even realize they're on the moon or even know what they're maintaining. If the one android living there finds out the PODs factory reset them.
I'm not sure how they could make this relevant to the Nier narrative in FF14.

but they wouldn't include the display if it was not important
"Stop right there, criminal scum! Nobody breaks the terms of service on my watch! I'm reporting your illegal mods, now enjoy your time in gm jail."

It appears that this week was the final weekly quest. We will be getting an epilogue with 5.55 so...guess we'll see what happens from there next week.
Oh. Right. I was supposed to be doing that. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
"The destiny of the world is determined less by the battles that are lost and won than by the stories it loves and believes in."

Please no.
Don't even think about derailing FFXIV's grand season finale with more of this crossover.
Anyway, if they've come from another world then the lunar base is presumably on that world's moon, not this one. Or at least the First's moon which isn't where we're going.
Aw, the music in the village changed.![]()
