Sorry, but that comparison shot straight away looks wrong to me. The horizontal bars on the window and the base of the bed should be your biggest indicator as to whether you've got the camera at the right angle, and they're quite different.

If he decides to fix it I'd really like to see the corrected version.
I comment on that on my other post, that's why I decided to add an error of around 3cm, even thought it's a deviation on the horizontal axis, the vertical one and the vertical details as well as the base of the bed are almost perfectly matched, the lighting can make it hard to appreciate tho. A deviation in the horizontal axis wouldn't affect that much for a*height comparison becauset they are in different 3d enviroments, If you compare it to others around, mine is way more accurate, I posted the edited and non-edited version as well as the full images, while the others are extremely cropped and show deviations in multiple axis and blurriness, I'm not saying it's perfect, but I have been honest and careful with it, lying on a comparison is not gonna change their real height.Sorry, but that comparison shot straight away looks wrong to me. The horizontal bars on the window and the base of the bed should be your biggest indicator as to whether you've got the camera at the right angle, and they're quite different.
Also, are you certain they're in the same place on the floor?
And yes I'm sure they are in the same place where the m viera feet are shown in the previous frame when he gets up, again, not perfect but more accurate than others, we still can't exact numbers, but it's accurate enough to see they are not tiny and that they are probably same height as the females.
Also want to add that imgur seems to lower the quality of the screenshot, mine were taken in 4k, but after uploading and reducing the size a bit to not fill the wide of the forum window for users with smaller resolution, it seems that there's some quality loss.
As I said if you have the patience, make the comparison yourself, as long as you're honest and careful with it you should get an approximate idea of their eight, it's better than trusting on other's comparisons, and gives us more data to work with.
This took close to an hour, I'm not sure if I want to do it again, I'm supposed to be working now![]()
But anyway, there are no vertical deviations, only a small horizontal one, you can see that the vertical details match almost perfectly with the red lines I added in the last picture, they are not there to mark the viera and elezen but the details in the background.
Edit: just checked the original shots in 4k, as I thought is only affecting the horizontal axis, but now it's bothering me, I'll try to make a new one this evening if I have time.
I don't think it's gonna make a big difference tho.
I wouldn't use the one where they are running or walking tho, I think that idle ones with landmarks on the background are more accurate, this allows to ignore the camera height and the horizontal axis, and just to add to this, the camera is not completely focused on your character height, you can perfectly adjust the height in game.I mean I've yet to see one that actually lines up 100%, hence why I suggested seeing where the lightshaft strikes on the character once you walk forward.
The reason why it's so hard to get it right is because the camera sits higher or lower depending on your height.

I have been trying for more than 1h, that video was probably taken with some dev settings, it is really difficult if not impossible to match everything because of the lack of settings, with the normal camera and the gpose, if anything, the gpose camera is even more limited because it doesn't have an option to adjust the vertical axis.
Any attempt to fit the whole screen as is in the video would require me to move the character, but that would mess the scale and depth ruining the comparison, and even doing so I wouldn't be able to match the screen completely.
The lightning can't be matched either, so basing a comparison on that is pointless.
I looked at my previous screenshots with more detail, the zoom and scale are correct, as well as the position of the character, the details of the background match and scale almost perfectly, I think these reference points are more than enough, and all I can get with the tools we have in game, but I understand that people would doubt it, since after all there's no proof that I placed my elezen at the same distance from the bed as the m viera is on the video.
I'm sorry if this felt disappointing, It's all I could do.
That's alright, thanks for taking the time to do it. It's still a good comparison imo
Where did you get that information from? Not trying to start anything, just curious.
