Please tell me what part of this hints to them being tall? Since when do you have to be tall to be strong? If anything, since they live int he woods and climb trees, they need to be agile over all, be able to switfly and easily move through branches and stuff. If anything I'd say being tall as something that makes you weaker and less of a warrior in those circumstances.
I don't know why everybody here seems to think that to be strong you have to be some giant.
And if theres anything to go by, you can think of actual existing humans who still live in the woods. They're not exactly tall either, and they don't even live on trees.

Maybe the fact that they say they’re not very discernible from the females until a certain age and they hit puberty. Which common knowledge would then lead to assume their growth spurt also results in height. I don’t know where anyone is getting them being short from other than weird head canon lol. Especially when yoshi himself classified them as elezen-like.

Well they're not strong, they look like twigs, also why would they be SHORTER if they're indistinguishable from females till 13.

It could be that the females hit a growth spurt leaving the males distinguishable by being smaller and not having other...obvious sex indicators.

Their lithe build makes sense, I agree with Tlamila. There’s a lot of emphasis that they have to stay hidden and their lifestyle seems to favor speed and skill over brute force. Very rabbit like.

Either way it’s not like they’re mini little baby boys. They just might be a bit shorter. I don’t see what all the fuss is about.

I feel the need to point out that it's misleading to think that they can't be fierce protectors of the forest with a smaller frame, and even then it's not radically smaller than the females. Being slightly smaller might help them get into every nook and crany of the woods so they can sneak in and pelt anything full of arrows. I mean, even if they're slightly shorter, they still look like they belong to the same race.

Of course, Xaella women are also supposed to be fierce warriors on par with the males and they still look like kawaii uguu waifus...

I take it it's just people looking to confirm their existing biases or looking to find anything "wrong" with the race before it's even out. We saw the same with Hrothgar's announcement over the misguided belief that they "took male Viera's place". I'll admit to zooming in on their clipping at the announcement before actually seeing the plush cats in-game.

Like I've said, I don't particularly CARE if they're about the same height or slightly shorter or slightly taller. They're not Au Ra-levels different and that's perfectly fine by me.

I mean, it’s merely speculation based on a couple of comparisons that people have posted, along with their ears being visibly smaller. It’s not guaranteed but it wouldn’t be out of place if it was the case. It’s kind of silly to see people get so worked up over what will be a minimal difference (head/half a head) at most.
