Just a hopeful thought, but perhaps as they work on/finish working on Female Hrothgar, they will solve the hair-to-face issue for Male Hrothgar.. I will hope very hard.

I suspect they're saving the hair/hat issues to come out at the same time as female Hrothgar. If they were to release just the hats for Hrothgar, Viera players would be upset. If they did it for Viera, Hrothgar players would be upset. If they wait until both genders are out, less people are upset.
They could, but then everyone would be waiting an additional 2 years and i feel that would cause even more animosity

i think they did viera dirty just to have parity with hrothgar. the ears on viera heads are way far up on the head. slide em a bit farther back on the head and they'd look great. like, actual real bunnies have their ears on the back of their head.but who knows what they've got up their sleeve. i just think if they just did hrothgar with no hats and viera with hats, people would've been miffedI suspect they're saving the hair/hat issues to come out at the same time as female Hrothgar. Especially considering Viera just got the male variant while Hrothgar is still waiting. There are people irritated by that already, add in Viera becoming "complete" with hat and hair fixes, and you'd have a riot with people calling foul due to favoritism.i think they did viera dirty just to have parity with hrothgar. the ears on viera heads are way far up on the head. slide em a bit farther back on the head and they'd look great. like, actual real bunnies have their ears on the back of their head.but who knows what they've got up their sleeve. i just think if they just did hrothgar with no hats and viera with hats, people would've been miffed
So I found a twitter post that focused on male viera and male au ra waists and it seems theyre pretty similar so far, likely using male au ra body as reference (which we cant see that well since the gear completely covers the legs)

seems they really are smaller and not just by a little, let‘s hope their height range is just more extreme than f. viera...

With the missing genders out of the way they could have way more time to adress the issues with the existing race, heck they could even use it in future expansion to expand on the character creator itself.

That's what I am hoping.

When the game's story becomes self-aware:

I agree.
I think its a bit premature to be saying they havent "fixed" the issue. They wont make an annoucement for it at fan fest. It would be bringing negativity into a forum where they want to hype up whats new. In every expansion they add copious amounts of New gear, a couple of hairstyles and the like.
I would not be surprised if they resolve the hat issue at the same time. Especially as they gave no mention of limitation around the males. It is likely part of the reason we are only getting Male Viera and not both. They learned with SHB that launching limited races doesn't land well.
I think given the option that they needed to choose between including Male viera and female Hrothgar, they chose Male Viera because while both have vocal support, male viera had a much louder demand than female hrothgar (based on thread size and response) there is also the caveat that while Hrothgar and Viera both share the same issue, Hrothgars issue is much deeper and complex to fix than Viera. Though I am conjecturing, i think given they have focused on male viera over both, capacity wise, this should give the room to fix the Viera issue. I have to note though, that personally, i do not think the hat issue is as vast as it is made out to be. Yes it is dissappointing but there are a lot of hats that can be worn. This though, does come from a place of someone who seldom wears hats. Iany headgear i use is often something small.
If headwear is limited though, I am grateful to the dev team and the situation with male Viera proves one thing: They listen. So even if they havent fixed the issue yet, i have confidence that they will when they are able to.
