I'm nnot really to worried at all to think about a subject like, "Turn FFXIV into F2P game". Because, just by his patches he's throwing at us, the time he take to do them to give us Quality Patches,And most important, his Vision for the game ( In Which I DIDN'T like Tanaka's Vision AT all) If Tanaka was still in Charge (besides Hamlet Defense) would we still get:

Already Planned? if it was We wouldn't need 2.0 now would we? Every one has a different Vision. Yes somethings that Yoshi-p "may like" Like Hamlet Defense for Example, he liked it, he wants it in his Vision, so yes He took that Idea. But every man is different, so His Vision will be what you call "90%" Different. You honestly think this was all a set up? Tanaka Stepping down, and Yoshi-P becoming the Savior of this game? I wouldn't say everything, but these kinds of games always have long term plans as to where they are going. Of course, things happened that changed the plans somewhat, but we would be naive to think they wouldn't still use as much of what was already there as possible.

Someone actually said, long ago, that a year's worth of content was already in the works for this game. Hell if I can remember who it was now though. There have been so many delays and changes that it is more than feasible we are still waiting for that stuff.

The inns are a good example. This is something the original director had already planned for us, but was unfinished. Now under Yoshi, it got finished.
