It's "Yes, but" time.
All characters that choose the job were "playable" or based on a player model, race squeleton. Zenos has its own model like Ran'jit. Gosetsu has unique assets but he shares animations with roegadyns.

Thancred had a Gunblade in his back which clearly hinted a gunblade job. Zenos we don't have full visual of the scythe, we know it's a scythe but for some reason they keep hiding it.
Zenos used a katana but he wasn't Samurai either, he didn't used any SAM ability or even had a jobstone. He's basically like the guy with a katana using PLD animations.

Plus, Zenos as a poster job? Would it mean that the statue would be Zenos for a second time?

More than likely Zenos version of the job would be a different version of what we get. And its not like they have to put in an npc that has the job in 5.55, just look at dancer who didn't get any rep in the game until shb. Zenos was indeed a samurai he just used his own version of it, his sens were their own, And no you don't need to have a job stone to be a job they just make the process faster.

what ffxiv need is fourth range dps job not another melee. if they want another melee use maime why not make dragoneer which would a job that has dragonling for a companion as once yoshi p suggest

i still don't think they place for wrester job with how weapon work in ffxiv. through yoshi p may be hint at ranger since there brand name of crossbow called reaper and bolt called grim reapers. we only have 3 healer and 3 range dps so add a ranger make sense to me

it also a way throw everyone off the really job too tell them repear know they like scythic or nermancer or such

the two job that could mean ranger or job simalar would be Huntress for DC or a Drizzt shirt

Wrestler/Sumo/Luchador would be really cool but it just can't work in FFXIV as those guys grapple and manhandle and armlock and throw their targets. The way the game is played with monsters only having a handful of animations (certainly no animations of having their arms twisted or being caught in a chokehold, etc), with no collision detection, and the input delay of the game... it just wouldn't work. Also wouldn't really work against the large bosses in this game (what, does he punch? How is that different from a monk?).

I’m fairly certain the Heroes Gauntlet dungeon was soft-trolling the fan base.

Yoshi-P uttered the word "necromancer" at least three times within one minute during the announcement showcase, so it absolutely won't be necromancer. Quite simply, if it were necromancer, he would have named any possible job but necromancer. He laughed and said "Necromancer" sarcastically along with something I didn't understand, but Koji's response was, "Ha, yeah, please, it's not going to be... [hand motions]".

They further trolled with mention of Necromancer a few minutes later in regards to Yoshi-P continuing to work on XIV even after death.

There's a decent amount of support for a 'darker' DPS job, be it necromancer or something similar. It may or may not happen, though some of the game's major rivals each have it in some form already. Namely GW2, WoW and ESO.

Furthermore, the story itself has already established that 'Light' and 'Dark' do not equal 'Good' and 'Evil'. With that in mind, it's a good point to showcase that with our own character.

Yup. Even with a job like a Necromancer, there are ways to implement it that don't fall under the "evil" category. Darkness itself is not evil, it is just a potent energy born of aether in a highly energetic state, and you can tie it to notions like drawing on the Underworld (Aetherial Sea) and, yes, corpses of monsters etc. It does not have to be done exactly in the same way as NPC necromancers, and besides, the dungeon boss already shows one could even be such a Necromancer and a WoL. But really, it could be tied to drawing on the Underworld's power, and darkness, to form shades and the power of stray souls, much like an Exorcist could, so it's all about how you set up the concept. Time mage was the other candidate caster job that seemed like a good avenue for darkness-based magic, if BLM were not to get any (more), that is. I think a full-fledged DoT caster would make sense as the next caster, since SMN and BLM only use them in a very minimal fashion. Perhaps one which drew on SpS through appropriate mechanics, to give BLM a gear itemisation bosom buddy. :`) 7.0+ stuff, at this stage.

With that said, I do think they'll opt for some name besides Necromancer, and I have a feeling it'll be some form of implementation of a Mystic Knight/Templar without a scythe or some other weapon besides a sword, but I wouldn't preclude a darker aesthetic to it.

And to add to trolling, Koji Fox has listed "Beastmaster Warrior" as his favourite job in his bit for fanfest.

But I think the hints so far point to a "Reaper" like job the most. Me personally, I think a Dante's Inferno style Templar would be the most fitting for Endwalker because it plays to a "Reaper" aesthetic, but is really a combination of dark and light. A holy knight making use of a scythe and reaping evil. This I think works nicely too in the idea that "light" and "dark" aren't synonymous with "good" and "evil" in FFXIV's world.

That said, I would be psyched if my joke prediction came true. I think my assessment of the hints are just as logical as any other (okay, maybe Zenos isn't grabbing a a Luchador mask, but I'd love it if he was). And hey, Tekken was able to make a badass and edgy version of the concept:
