Your link proves my point. We get more content in each major FFXIV patch then what it shows for the WoW patches you posted. Not sure what your point was?
Yes we get less content now per patch than we did last year, but covid was a thing that slowed their work, so some patches were delayed and some content was cut. Even with that, we still got more content per patch this year then WoW got in the patch you posted.
To break it down, for the WoW post:
Sept - Dec 2013 (4 month period)
5.4.0 - 1 raid, 1 raid difficulty mode, 1 new area, Connected Realms (essentially shard visit functionality)
5.4.0 hotfix1 - Bug Fixes
5.4.0 hotfix 2 - Bug Fixes
5.4.1 - Some pets, a mount and some bug fixes
5.4.2 - Ability to mail account bound items across servers, In-game shop (RMT shop), cross-realm raid finder improvements, pet, bug fixes
5.4.2 hotfix 1 - bug fixes
5.4.7 - Level Boost UI, PvP changes, ilvl boost of the new area from 5.4.0
90% of the stuff added was pets or bug fixes... not real impressive
FFXIV (3 month period) Dec 2020 - Feb 2021
