Yeah. I find the lore almost always interesting, but this aether one fell short for me (literally, it was like, 1 paragraph of lore :P)There was a preview (kind of...) of a paladin weapon skill on youtube. But it is now a private video. I wonder why it seemed so incomplete? Perhaps they really are just stalling with these kinds of infos... because they really aren't finished with even large things like animation? (not that I don't like lore)
Anyway, if the lore bit they posted on the lodestone recently actually felt more... "worked on", maybe it would have been easier to accept? It's almost like they tried to sugarcoat the fact that they'd be making teleporting possible around the town to make it seem like something significantly lore-y. But overall, it felt kind of "meh" since it was already fairly well known information. That's not me feeling that way because I think they should be giving us more substantial information on patch 1.21, but I wish they would have tried a bit more to at least make the aether lore interesting to read about.

For something that was supposed to be out now, we don't know anything about it.
I don't want a buggy addition either, but surely the foundations for it are layed down.
Information on future content isn't the same as asking them to release it.
PS2Crystal Tools limitations.
They have all the info... I think they have a timetable as to how much info they release... like they spread it out til the patch releases... and all the other stuff is just Lodestone filler. They have all the important updates and if they have say 8 of them...and there are 4 weeks to patch.... they'll do 2 a week... or 1 in the first week... 2 in the second week, 2 in the third week and 3 in the week of the patch....
They enjoy stringing us along to a fair degree
I enjoy the lore
It does not surprise me that a lot of people are complaining (because no matter what people (especially on the ffxiv forums) complain)
You guys no think this lore is exciting?
'According to ancient Mi’qote mystics, aetheric energy permeates all creation even as it exists in its own distinct dimension, parted from the physical plane.'
Right here they are talking about the quantum physics multiverse theory. Energy is everything. The theory is that the universe is expanding at a faster and faster rate. Scientists cant account for all the enrgy needed to expand the universe at its current rate, so they came up with 'dark energy'. They theorize that this energy is in other dimensions which cant be measured from our physical plane.
This type of lore piled on top of all the things happening in the seventh umbral era (which can be described with rl happenings like above) is one of the main reasons i still play and pay
So I understand where you are coming from, everyone has different play styles but many of us DO enjoy the lore
blahblahblahblahSince we have been working separately on the World Merge and the new patch for two months now (different teams are in charge), we are certain the patch will not be delayed even with system changes on this scale (also, 1.21 is in its final stage of development now). We have stopped updating Topics due to the World Merge, but we will post new topics about 1.21 when the situation is a little calmer, so please look forward to those!
I believe the Lore posts are ready to burst through the Loremasters' tomes. I like reading about things like the Grand Company structures.
Where the dev information may have a different priority of distribution. I admit, if there's some lore out there about jobs, I would like to see mention of perhaps job exclusive traits (if applicable), screenshots of artifact armor alongside the post, concept art of the job and/or quest, and the like.
I think the launch main story, its pacing, and its low challenge level, being what it is/was (no spoilers), it's difficult to shift gears and prioritizing another lore as urgent. I'm trying to discard that lore now in lieu of Grand Companies, Primals, 7th Umbral, etc.
Yes more Lore!

I think 1-2 updates a week is pretty generous and wouldn't expect anymore.
But if you review the order they are releasing information it kind of goes like this:
Lore, lore, seasonal event, lore, lore, minor info, lore, lore.
What i'd like to see is a better time lime:
Lore, Seasonal Event, Major Info, Lore, Small info, Lore, Major info. ect.
In my opinion, most of 1.21's biggest content has not even been discussed, which i find dissapointing.
