    More Lore??

I just want to say upfront, before this lengthy(ish) post, that I enjoy anything that has been put up on the lodestone. Taking that into account, please read the following, bearing in mind, it is my personal opinion/feelings.

The rate at which we are getting information regarding updates is perfectly fine (even by P2P Standards), but information regarding content/major implementations seems to be of last/smallest priority.

Hell, Maybe you are someone who enjoys lore > content. And thats fine (and i'd like to hear your opinions aswell)

Lore is essential , it gives the MMORPG's world substance and I would be an idiot to argue it was anything less. But when the information being provided is lore alone, I'm left dissapointed with how much is left to discuss (especially with how much we have to look forward to)

In order of updates on the lodestone(color coded in what personally appeals to me red=dissapointing orange=interesting, but futher info required Green = Relevant and Exciting information):

    - Lore (Grand Companies)
    - Contest (Valentines contest subject to country availability)
    - Accessory reforms (Covered previously on forums)
    - Residences (Covered previously on forums)
    - World Merger Server (Statement retracted, making post void)
    - Revamping Items
    - Lore - Moogle Lore
    - Patch 1.20c notes (Mostly Bug Fixes)
    - Lore - Valentoines Event

    - Letter from the Producer (Letters are good news, but lack depth in terms of detail)

    - Lore - Wolves in Clothing
    - Payment Methods (Payment's we never a problem for me personally)
    - Producer Letter (Yoshi's Holiday, A warm New Years Greeting, but still would of liked something about FFXIV)
    - 1.20b notes("Easter Egg" Mount for supporting the game and fixes)
    - Lore - Grand Company
    - Lore - Gobbue
    - Payment Methods (Payment's we never a problem for me personally)
    - New Years Greeting

When I review this list, I can't help but feel dissapointed with implementations and content that could of have been previewed (some concrete information). Of course, these are all subject to personal opinions.

With 1.21 being the biggest patch released to date, there is still much more information that could be released:
    • Cutter's Cry Instance
    • The Aurum Vale Instance
    • Job Abilities
    • Job Animations (Youtube Preview)
    • Job Quests
    • Job Battle Monsters
    • Job Attributes
    • Reforming of Skills
    • Job System
    • New Recipes
    • Hamlet
    • Artifact Preview

This list alone refers to only 1.21 content and only names a few. Theres still plenty of other information that may have been able to be previewed on the horizon aswell. EG: The Early Preview of Gobbue Animation In the Last Live Producer Letter (1.20) even though it was a 1.21b release. Just because a feature isn't coming up in the next patch, doesn't mean we wouldn't want information regarding it.

I understand the dire difficulty in releasing the biggest information early when it is subject to change, but in cases such as this (1.21), the patch is only within 2 weeks ( a delayed release ) and we still know little to nothing about so much.

But i think a large majority of the community, share a simailar opinion to my own. We'd rather have updates that providie detail in relation to upcoming large implementations, as opposed to lore or "crumbs" of information.

So please Devs. Keep in mind that most subscribers have very little to do at current, and really look froward to lodestone updates.

I realise this thread is breeding grounds for white knights and trolls, but try and keep critiscm/discussion as constructive as possible when responding or stating your own opinions.

TL;DR - Lodestone Updates are well written and posted frequently enough but the topics are frivolous at best.
