Why are the savage clear rates in the JP Datacenter so much higher than NA?

But okay I'll play and here's my answer to the OP's question. Who cares? I mean if that chart actually says what you says it does (cuz I don't read JP so I don't know) but say it does - who gives a crap? It doesn't mean anything. People who want to do savage are going to do savage. Those who don't, won't. Regardless of which data center they are on.

Who hurt you MPK (and the others who are also apparently in agreement) that you are so upset that more people on NA don't do savage with you?

I'm kinda happy that the Devs doesn't listen to the NA community. People in JP clearly cares about real content more than NA does. I am so glad Square isn't dev times on races that players will never play like hrothgars. Man that graph just shows us how dead that race is. I'm kinda upset that they even bothered releasing something like that.

One day maybe this game will become a real MMO with a better endgame raiding than WoW. Maybe even one day Asmongold will join this game once activation finishes killing WoW.

I truly hope the west can change it's mentality and one day half of the end game players will finish the current raid tier like Gaia.

We should all aim to be like Gaia. More end game raiders, more Lalafells and less illegal ERP.

Maybe the JP mentality that is "better" because the raiding scene doesn't have so much baggage as much as NA?

What baggage tho?!? JP come prepared. NA blames their own problems on baggage.... there’s zero baggage if you come prepared and aren’t there just for a carry. Hence the chart being the way it is. The only baggage NA brings is excuses. Guess what JP does? They make sure not to be there for the carry and never bring excuses. It’s really not hard to see this as cultural differences and that being the only baggage NA has to really offer.

There is no reason and it is completely hit or miss. If I were going to go for Savage then I would want to go for Ultimate and at that point I am basically back playing WoW without half of the things that made it bearable. I have no patience anymore for people talking to me like a child when I am a grown adult playing a fantasy game to escape reality.

People come to FF14 to escape the MMO toxicity that has become a cancer across multiple titles especially WoW. This place is famous for the community but listen to ANYONE describe LFR or the hunt for a good static and you will quickly understand why raiding is so niche in this MMO.

It makes no sense that statics even exist. It made sense when the MMO was dying and you needed to group with whoever you could find but the fact FC's are only used for leveling bonuses is just strange. Square Enix has done nothing to change this and that is why the hard content end game in FF14 will always be based around 8 man content.

They tried Savage with more people in Delubrum and it was a mess. This MMO is not build for large difficult raid content with these horrible UI's, lack of add on support and literally no organization with FC's for it.

There is a reason the latest Ultimate was delayed so much in favor of expansion features like a Pet Island. Square Enix realizes this is not a raiding or pvp MMO and casuals flock here for that reason. If the goal of the FF14 raiding community was to make it as niche as possible by being as toxic as possible then congratulations you guys succeeded.

You're generalizing an entire community based on the poor experiences you had or even caused. I've pugged well in excess of 100 times and never ran into the sheer degree of toxicity I keep seeing you ramble on about. In fact, I've seen more toxicity from casual players. Have I had toxic raid experiences? Yep. I've been kicked from a couple groups for downright petty reasons. I've also meant some super chill people along the way. Hell, after nearly two years since I left my first static, I hooked him with my old raid lead and helped him put a group together to down UCoB. You take the good with the bad, just like everything else in life. Now that isn't to say everyone should do Savage. Do whatever you find fun. But don't sprout nonsense about how toxic and EVIL one subset of the community is simply because you don't enjoy it.

As for the whole guild/static thing. Does it really matter? Personally, I prefer FFXIV's approach because I don't have to join a dedicated raid FC to partake in harder content and instead can chill with friends who aren't into raiding.

Japan also has a history of secret blacklists that get spread around and harassing under performing players. At least one streamer has been banned for doing it openly on twitch before and it's a not so much secret that it happens so much as open knowledge. They definitely have their own baggage, just of a different flavor.
