I'm not sure if this is of any relevance or just coincidence, but in the fanfest page under 'keynote address' they used the screenshot of Hroths and Viera, so I'm hopeful it may be a foreshadow for something coming their way.

It's from the last fanfest, hence why I'm not sure if it was intentional or coincidental, but I, for one, think it's too convenient they chose that photo

Still...can be argued that they could have used any other picture....so...

This is how desperate it is getting, that one single small picture from last fanfest is like "omg IMAGINE if they actually do...."

That would mean its happening; locking them into a promise.
And if they say that and suddenly they cant do it, backlash would be worse.

They have said both legacy hairstyles and race specific hairstyles would be implemented in time, though. And I believe them on the racespecific hairstyles. I just believe "in time" can mean 7.0 at this point. It is the complete lack of any response to vieras and hrothgars lack of hairstyles/hats that bother me.

Good point. That picture could mean anything, but maybe Im just holding onto false hope (is that the right word), but the second thing you said is also correct: they could have gone with anything from any fanfest...or even a drawing of yoshi P w/ a stick body. IDK

It's either that, or the cynic, admittedly more realistic thought - "ohh look, they're shamelessly using the 2 races they've been completely neglecting as promotional material to get more views!"
