That could be heavily abused though. We cannot give mentors too much power, if we go down that route then sprouts should be able to remove a mentor with enough votes so to speak.

You're not wrong there, and increasing the weight of the punishments still doesn't prevent these attacks from happening. Especially since these seems to be new characters each time.
Though thinking about it, perhaps NN should be completely immune to the onboard macro system. Plenty of other times people test out macros only to flood their current chat channel (which defaults to the Novice Network for sprouts).
