A few complaints about the NieR Raid rewards on Part 3

I’m very pleased with the story, with how the whole raid worked, mechanics and everything else truly, like I was even tearing up at the last boss of the raid to be honest and i specially loved this battle. But there’s only one thing that i’m not happy about and it’s this:

I just wanna say I'm very very disappointed about the rewards for the 3rd NieR Raid, I have no idea if you guys got plans to add more things later on, WHICH I HOPE FOR, but for something that Yoshi-P said something along the lines of that “If you see it in the raid and you like it, chances are you’ll be able to get it later on” I'm rather disappointed.

No weapons for glamours, No Flight Unit or Pod mounts, and while i’m glad you are giving us Devola and Popola outfits as well as Resistance outfits, you really couldn’t give us 9S’ either??

He's literally the most important character for the whole plot and story in Automata, not just in the game, but in Yoko Taro's books and stories, the concert scripts and more. And you don’t give us his glamour???? We get Anemone's and The resistance ones whom most people seem to forget who she is unless they know more about A2, And the closest thing we can get to 9S' glamour is the gear from Copied Factory, which by the way, is gender-locked so I can't even wear it cause I play a female character. But yet you give us the gear for Devola and Popola for /both/ genders but can't do the same with 9S?
I know I speak for many as well when I say that 9S’ glamour was literally the ONE THING we had been hoping for for over a year, along with other glamour items like the weapons and we had been hoping to get these for the longest time.

Words cannot describe how disappointed I am with the rewards for this final raid tier. The items are ALREADY in the game from what has been used in the game for the in-game models, cutscenes, etc. 9S’ outfit, the swords, the flight unit, I’m so tired of all this gender-locked madness. The fact the closest thing we can get to his glamour is even gender-locked makes me really upset cause he's also my favorite character in Automata.

PLEASE, make at least 9S' glamour available as well, and if possible too, All these other items too like the weapons and so. You gave us his hairstyle which i'm very happy about for alts, but please let us have his outfit too. 2B's outfit isn't gender-locked but yet we cannot get anything similar to 9S' without it being gender-locked.

I don't care if I have to obtain them by running the raid a certain amount of times to collect whatever tokens or something to trade for the glamours or other things, but please, PLEASE, put them in the game and make them available FOR EVERYONE AND ALL GENDERS.

Please dev team I'm begging you.

The complaint is that there is an insane amount of possible rewards people had been asking for, yet they gave us what seems like the bare minimum. Hairstyles, I'm pretty sure like all the other unlockable hairstyles, don't work on Viera or Hrothgar, the 2B glam is equippable by males and females, but females don't get any outfits even close to what 9S wears. Males get the male set, and can wear 2B's outfit. We're just asking for equality, at the very least.

I agree completely. I'm really dissatisfied with how glams have been treated in this game. Square Enix really needs to fix this gender locked issue with FFXIV. I was almost certain we were going to be getting 9S glam along with weapons for each class in the style of NieR Automata considering it being the final NieR raid. I really hope this thread and any future threads just like it make their way to Square Enix and that they take note of our dissatisfaction.

Actually, it's more than about a pair of shorts. If you have played Nier: Automata or even paid attention to the cutscenes in the three raids, 9S' outfit and 2B's are entirely different. The top is different from the design to the accessories attached and even the coloring is different. The "shorts" as you put it, are the most obvious part that is different. I'm going to go out on a limb here and assume you skipped the cutscenes and didn't even bother to look at the NPC's in game, much less care about them. Don't knock someone's complaint that is legitimate to something as trivial as "I want 9S' shorts for a glam." There are quite a few outfits in this game that are gender locked that would look great on female players; this is especially true for the femroes who have to contend with outfits that were originally tailored for miqo'te, hyur, and au ra. You trivializing what the people here are pointing out is only adding to the problem; so do us all a solid and have the decency to be a bit more respectful. After all, you wouldn't want someone to TLDR your complaints that way would you?

She's pointing out that SQEX missed an opportunity here to put some really cool stuff in to get people excited about FFXIV as well as the Nier series, and that they failed to provide one of the main characters in another of SQEX's franchises the same courtesy that they gave the more popular (and more sexualized) character. Fans of the Nier franchise know both 2B and 9S; to the point that both characters are mentioned in the same sentence most of the time. The point she's making here is that she was excited to see how they were going to close this collaboration out and she (as well as other people) expected them to give both main characters of the franchise proper due; especially considering they are dropping Nier: Replicant's remaster on the 23rd. They didn't do that and she is letting them know her thoughts and asking them to do better in the future by adding content.

I'm happy that it wasn't just a retelling of Nier: Automata, personally. I enjoyed the game when I played it, though that was more to do with the music and deep themes regarding the nature of existence that the game sought to explore. I'm quite glad that 2B and 9S took a backseat and largely operated in the background instead of being front and centre constantly.

If we're talking things that we'd like to see, then it'd have been neat to see Adam and Eve as well as their respective glamour as rewards. I also would have liked Simone as a fight and her opera song as a music roll...but I'm inclined to take Yoshi-P's statement in regards to rewards with a hefty pinch of salt. After all, he was unaware that there was a strong demand for more facial hair options for male characters until recently.

Flight unit mount is already in the files (fully animated used by NPCs), the same about Yorha Armored Suit. I don't know what a fool you have to be to not give it to player. Lets hope for updates. If not, I hope players will never forget it.
