I hope the devs are listening. We need the devs to please listen.
be prepared for the onslaught of "useless" questions lol
"Useless" might be subjective, but within the first page, I found these "burning questions" directed to the Main Scenario writer for our upcoming live letter next month:
And while these two posts are related to the MSQ, I'll include them for (I believe) obvious reasons:MSQ Adjustments: Please Scale/Increase XP Values for MSQ Roulettes/MSQ Trials
Please consider adding higher % values to XP for MSQ-related daily roulettes. With so many jobs, and so much leveling, and the cap increasing very high every 2 years, and extremely long queues (where frontlines is the only worthwhile XP gain) the formulas haven't scaled properly.
This has been discouraging/grindy to play daily roulettes for veterans to help with old MSQ-related content for new players. As loyal player for 8 consecutive years and staying capped every single year since ARR, this is the first expansion where leveling really felt too burdensome and I don't want to cap any longer. I no longer play roulettes with MSQ story. The original calculations were amazing, they're just not factoring in the intense increase in level cap since ARR's L50 and almost double the jobs with nearly 10x as much XP required to level.
Please increase the XP received per roulette (or reduce the post-L50 XP scale) so us veterans want to play with the new players during their MSQ, and help them learn their jobs.
Yes, those are two separate posts.

To be fair, an accidental double post isn't worth holding up for ridicule. And the second question would relate to planning the story (if the head writer is involved in planning that compact bit of storytelling), but on the other hand we already know he's going to be a paladin in the trailer.
Meanwhile the third guy followed up with another bright-coloured-and-oversized question asking her opinion on a different game entirely.

That third one doesn't even make sense. It's incredibly easy to level in this game.
It's not about ridicule. Whether it's accidental or not, it just shows how many posts there are within the first page that I found. I'm just clarifying that I did not put a post in twice by accident as those are separate posts.
The poster job basically tries to fit the theme of the expansion, so I think it's a question better suited for Yoshida as he seems to be in charge of the overall direction of the story, whereas the scenario writer seems to be in charge of the details of how to get to where Yoshida wants to go with the story. And the second question would relate to planning the story (if the head writer is involved in planning that compact bit of storytelling), but on the other hand we already know he's going to be a paladin in the trailer.
I just realized that it's the OP of this very thread.Meanwhile the third guy followed up with another bright-coloured-and-oversized question asking her opinion on a different game entirely.
Though I'm ok with the question about another game as it's asking whether FFXIV could also do something like that with the story.

Can't wait for someone to ask the main scenario writer about housing availability, viera hair styles and other completely irrelevant questions.
Hopefully they will pick and choose things that are relevant to her role within the dev team.

Ah. Indeed it is. And after we had a whole conversation about how people try to force unrelated questions into subject-specific Q&As and then wonder why they get rejected.
Well, that wasn't made clear enough, and the moderators who cleared out the irrelevant posts didn't see a connection either.
No need to wait; they're already happening. There was the one on Viera hats quoted above (which was the absolute first question in the thread) and another one later about hairstyles rather than hats. Both have been deleted.
