Have been watching a Let's Play of FFXIV and playing through the trimmed ARR MSQ and I was shocked the ice crystal runaround was still in there.

They did trim the feast steps down. They had to leave the feast in due to the dungeon that's required during it so they couldn't cut it completely. Also the purpose was for the former band to test to see if we were actually likely capable of defeating Titan. We hadn't gotten a reputation yet so we had to prove ourselves to them.

As for what annoys me - not having a system where I can put on possible appearances on my character to see how it would look on them in combination with other pieces.

People who leave because I'm tanking too slowly. I'm still learning, damn it. Pulling wall-to-wall doesn't make me a good tank. Keeping things off my party DOES. So pardon me if I slow down a bit to make sure nothing's kicking your asses.

The funny part is that both are still a lot shorter than they used to be. They trimmed a lot. That it's still so tedious really tells you how bad it used to be.

I'm kinda more annoyed that they didn't take the opportunity to add in a quest to make sure people got their job stones. You'd think that proving yourself as an exceptional adventurer worth the Company's patronage would be a good chance.

geez, the bias in your post is crazy lol.

Don't see the bias, unless you mean I complain about tanks and healers but not DPS. Well, that's because when I tank and heal, there's little DPS can do to annoy me. So I suppose yes I have a bias to be more accommodating to DPS players.

And I don't think you've actually read my post. Tanks that don't make the slightest effort annoy me. Especially when I'm the healer. Body pulling (without using any skills at all) through to the second pack is the kind of thing I'm talking about.

As to the rest of your post, yes all that you're saying I can do as well. Please understand that I'm not talking about good tanks and good healers. Not even average tanks and healers. I'm talking about things that bad tanks and healers do that annoy me. This thread is about annoy things other people do, not a bragging thread about things we can all do. I can also be in front of practically any tank if I wanted. I can also get hate as RDM if I wanted. But I don't, because I always make sure I let the tank pull, and I spread my enmity around depending on how the tank is pulling (some don't switch targets during a long pull, some do).

Dps who..

Stand in AOEs and die consistently. Who don't meet dps checks. Who pull for newbie tanks because lack of patience. Dps who yeet themselves off platforms. Who don't know their rotation and doing shid damage making things run slower.

Dps can be bad too.

Of course. It's just that DPS annoy me a lot less when I'm tanking or healing. Because when I'm tanking, I'm always in control of every single mob, there's nothing they can do to annoy me. When I'm healing, mob aggro isn't my problem anyways and DPS who stand in stuff gets me to chuckle rather than irritate me.

So perhaps I should have been more specific and said: "Well it's hard for DPS to annoy me." That's what I really meant.

And the reason why tanks and healers tend to annoy me more, is probably because I look for a higher standard (for myself as well) in tanking and healing. In other words, DPS can be extremely bad and they generally still don't annoy me, because the worse they are, the less they are capable of influencing the run in any meaningful way anyways, so they won't be capable of doing things that annoy me.

DPS who won't LB? So what. I couldn't care less. Tanks who don't rotate cooldowns? Well I'll just heal more. DPS standing in stuff? I'll throw out a heal. None of these annoy me. That's what I mean. I never made any claims, express or implied, that there are no bad DPS. There are. I'm just not annoyed by them.

Again, please remember the title of the thread is "what things annoy you". This is not a discussion about good/bad players or what is good/bad. People can be bad yet not annoying. People can also be good but extremely annoying.

It could also be that I've been mainly tanking and healing since ARR, a lot longer than I've mained DPS. So maybe by 6.0 I would be more accommodating to other tanks and healers. Who knows.

There's a side quest in Mor Dhona where you play hide and seek with lala children or something like that.
There's also one in Gold Saucer.

You can google "ffxiv lalafell children" and there should be in-game picture of them in the result.

They just look like adult lala to me, but some people said that lala child is slightly shorter or something.

When a dancer doesn't use dance partner.
When a dancer chooses me as a dance partner, when I'm a dancer and they got two other dps to choose from, our steps don't stack.
When a dancer chooses the same dance partner as me
When a dancer doesn't use tech step because they see I'm in the party as well, don't not use it, we just need to time it with each other.
When someone demands to be a dance partner
When a summoner doesn't either summon or they summon Titan.

I realise most of these are about Dancer, I'm pretty passionate about it. XD

Dance Partner gives one buff to the dancer and a different buff to the partner. As they're two different buffs, they do stack. It's up to the players to try not to overlap their Technical Steps, though.

I know some people who ended up spending 100s and failing a meld, but why does it have different animations and sounds for each failed attempt at a certain number?!
It makes me feel extra bad lmao
