Tanks who:Healers who:
- Don't position mobs. Especially those who just run into the middle of a pack and stays there, letting mobs spread around him in a circle, so that DPS AOEs can't hit half the mobs.
- Don't establish aggro. Most packs are small enough (that's why we're all doing multi-pack pulls) that all tanks have enough tools to establish aggro on every mob without having to stop. Ranged pull on one at max range as you run in, switch target then AOE skill plus an oGCD attack as you pass through the pack, then switch target again and use the ranged pull. On the second pack, ranged pull one at max range as you run in, then switch target then AOE skill plus the oGCD AOE (if you have one) as you pass through the pack, and finally switch target again and use the ranged pull. Stop and turn around, and both packs should congregate around you. Adjust accordingly when a caster/ranged mob is among them. There's simply no excuse to body pull and never making any effort to establish even the slightest aggro. If you think tanks should "try to improve" by learning wall-to-wall pulls, than you necessarily have to agree that tanks should "try to improve" by learning to establish aggro without having to stop or take detours, so that DPS and healers can prep DoTs and HoTs along the way, which all help towards a more efficient run.
- Half blind tanks. Tanks who run to the next pack or boss even though there's another mob behind pounding on your healer. Tanks who start the fight when the healer is still in a cut-scene. Tanks who ignore adds, espcially the second tank in a full party, wtf.
DPS who:
- Let DPS drop to critical health before healing. Yes yes we're not supposed to get hit but people make mistakes. You think your one GCD to throw out a heal is going to be worth more dps than an actual DPS? It's not.
- Don't Esuna. Yes yes we're not supposed to get hit but people make mistakes. You think your one GCD to throw out an Esuna is going to be worth more dps than an acutal DPS who's silenced/stunned every couple seconds? It's not. Especially a BLM who may end up not being able to do anything for 10-15 seconds.
- Well it's hard for DPS to abe annoying specifically in a DPS way...they can be jerks but that's got nothing to do with being DPS, anyone can be jerks.
EDIT: Seems quite a few people are not understanding my last point. It's hard for DPS players to annoy me because when I'm tanking, I'm always in control of all the mobs anyways. When I'm healing, I'm also not annoyed when someone gets hit or dies. There's very little a DPS can do to annoy me. Most of the times I find DPS being idiots to be more amusing than annoying. So I'm rarely annoyed by a DPS. Not saying DPS can't be bad. Just that they rarely annoy me.
