I still do not get why RPers just di not adapt to what they find BS? Make a discord have a page that serves as entry list for the venue keep the Erp inside discord to avoid those that may try to report the content ingame. Make your PF adverts general and direct them to the discord.

At this point it just seems like people are being outraged for the sake of being outraged.

GM is just doing there job do not try to entrap them. They follow a script or outline to cover their own ass.

This reminds me of those audit the police youtube cancels that go out there way just to get some form of authority in trouble.

I can understand why they might not feel like they need to treat a legitimate in-game activity like they're selling savage runs for bitcoin.

Currently SE has been coy af about this. There's nothing explicitly in the ToS about it. There's been no official statement from them about it. The only thing you see is GMs cracking skulls... sometimes... if it gets reported... and it's a full moon on a Wednesday. There's no consistency in enforcement, probably because there's no actual rule being broken here. They just think it's icky and so they punish players for doing it. If they want to make an actual rule that says you can't do this, they have that right.. but they have to actually DO that.

Isn't that what "the game is rated for ages 13 and up, please act accordingly" means?

There actually are specific rules in place that make such activities illegal and unwanted, though. Rather than find ways to sneakily do such things anyway, maybe the better stance is to just stop putting minors and vulnerable players in positions where they're exposed to inappropriate material?

The internet is a pretty big place. If people want to engage in adult role-play, they can do so in venues that are specifically designed for such things.

If people do it in FFXIV, they run the risk of being punished for it if reported and caught.

Second Life comes to mind as a free alternative website that is very open about being a hub for public ERP/sex as a whole.
