Sorry the real outrage is the one piece glam . . . hair is a slight do not get me wrong though.

This. Even if they built it all in one piece and don't want to put the design work into building extra parts like the pants and lower sleeves, they could at least split it at the waist into coat+gloves and pants+boots pieces.

Same for other character outfits like Yda and Cid. I'd really like to use Cid's shirt for my alt without having to wear the whole outfit.

Minfilia's dress probably has to stay in one piece, since there isn't a neat split at the waistline, but they could probably give the gloves and boots as separate pieces in addition to having them stuck to the all-in-one.

We have been waiting for nearly two years already.

Again I don't expect things to be fixed super fast, but I am so bloody tired of watching the other races constantly get new appearance options. The resources are clearly there to give races new appearance options, so this does not explain why two races are being entirely ignored. Is it really too much to ask for some amount of attention after almost two years? Seriously?

I don't know about that. I am pretty positive many here on English general (and in the English sub-forums in general) aren't from the US.

I remember watching the Endwalker reveal event, and literally every other line in the live chat was Viera Hair....or something to this effect and watched as Yoshi leaned close in to see the monitors and what was being written and didn't even acknowledge it. And that for most of us bunny players is the part that is making it so frustrating, is no lack of even acknowledgment that we even exist. Hell I was shocked they used a Viera to sport the Sage art...

I am fine if its some super awesome big reveal that we are getting stuff in 6.0, but they honestly need to say, OKAY WE GET IT, Something is coming for you all that stuck it out for so long, please look forward to it....how hard is it to have this or even similar message for us? I as many have watched one new hair show up after another for almost 2 years now with no option for Viera, and one thread after another pop, with many expressing their frustration, with the spackling of white knights (a limited forum job) saying well due to Covid, or due to limited race or whatever and it is getting as old as these threads I am sure for many in between both sides of the argument.

I went back to miqo for like 2 weeks, it felt odd and wrong. I will be bunny for life, regardless of the hair/hat situation.

A small number of English speaking people are upset, a smaller number of those upset English speaking people are not from the USA.

Germans, French, Japanese forums are not reacting the same way.

I was going to ignore that post you quoted but figured I may as well respond given you are nice enough to point out that english speaking doesn't automatically equate to being American.

There are over twenty official languages in Europe, you listed only two and seem to forget that English is one of those twenty. Two countries in Europe have English as an official language and many other European countries have people that are excellent if not fluent in that language. My fc is mainly made up of European players and the majority of them are not from a country in which English is an official language, and yet they are all fluent aside from one person.

At best you can guess where a person is from based on the server they play on but even that isn't guaranteed to be accurate given that anyone can play on any server they like regardless of where they are located.

The covid argument just doesn't fly anymore. If that were truly the case then all the races would have suffered. Instead it's business as usual with the pre-ShB races, and the players of the new races are getting told they're being entitled for feeling like waiting for almost two years without the tiniest scrap of hope is very frustrating.

And lets not forget how the last event had only one piece of clothing and it's something that viera and hrothgar can't use. And it was one of two rewards. 50% of the event rewards were entirely irrelevant to us.

I have tried to be patient, but the addition of this outfit made me eyeroll so hard my eyeballs nearly fell out of my skull. Yet another reminder that we're shafted for head options, and become even more so as time passes due to so many additions being unusable by us. The gap keeps getting wider.

Aside from Japanese, those forums are fairly... inactive.. to say the least.. Seems odd for them to be held up as a basis, frankly. Also, I would assume there are Germans AND French using the English forums as well, for that matter, and probably voicing similar concerns as here.

No announcements, no concept art, not even the tiniest hint that the issue is even getting the vaguest amount of attention. I have tried to be patient but at this point I'm reaching the last of it. If we got just a tiny snippet that something is coming, even if it's not going to be on 6.0 launch, I'll be happy. I just want some manner of confirmation that SE isn't just acting as if those two races don't exist when it comes to head options. But so far this is what it looks like they're doing, and it's frustrating.

If I am a project manager, this issue will not be on high priority list because of the following reasons:
1. It is not game breaking likes Feb 26, 2021's glitch in Rival Wing.
2. Both Viera and Hrothgar are functional, it is only 90% of in-game pieces and hairstyles.
3. The population of Viera is not that large as you thinks it is. Miquote is still dominated in both EU/NA and Lalafes is still dominated in KO/CH/JP
4. My development team is already in stress due to Covid 19 (believed or not, WHF is not very effective and ideal for every job, especially finance and gaming industry)
5. There is upcoming patch 5.5 in making.
6. A large number of my team is in the development of new FF14 expansion
7. It is not a major issue since it is primary a small number of NA players are causing issue while majority of player base is happy with Viera and Hrothgar (applicable on CH/JP/KO, not sure about EU, and even this forum no many cares about this)
8. (This one is my personal) FF14 is not a wash out game where I need to use new race or over sexualized character model to attract players, my team is more than capable of provide quality contents.

Please be understandable, only 5% of players will actively use forum and merely 1 out 5 of this 5% will have post count more than 200 like you and myself. This is a small minority making loud noise on the forum when majority is either don't care or don't support. As a project manager, there is no way i am going to spend my scared resource on something is not urgent like this.
You also have to understand the problem with both both Viera and Hrothgar is the head skeleton of the model is not compatible to current in-game head pieces and hairstyle because both models original are intended for NPC.
To fix this, you are requires to create a new model of each head piece otherwise you will see your character is either bald or something awkward.
According to FF14 database there are currently 2052 head pieces in game (in which 4104 pieces) and this number is still increasing), it is a really demanding effort for a small portion of player base.

If you're trying to talk about large and important announcement A, seem to be getting a lot of audience feedback, then take a closer look and realise it's all about not-really-related thing B... are you really going to interrupt your own presentation to talk about the other thing?
