Early to Rise hairstyle drop rate

I bought most of the kupo of fortune drops from the marketboard and just made the gil back because if I can get it a different way that is more convenient then I don't see the point of farming it at all, it's really not worth the trouble.

I think this hair style should drop more often. It was 14 million gil on the market board last time I checked. Or make it so you can buy the hair style, mount and barding with silver or gold coins. I don't think a hairstyle should be this hard to get. I don't even know what it would look like on a girl Au Ra which I play since I can't get it.

By the way, I still haven't played the game besides logging in since last time! That grind was complete torture, and I don't even think I did half that many clears!

How do you even manage that? I've completed 5 and am like 5/15 in on the 6th and more or less fizzled out. Grind wise it's not the worst we've had to deal with but due to the limited ways to progress it has been the most tedious of any weapon to date. Even the old ARR books at least had some variety.

I got it to drop on my 20th run. Sold it for 9.5g

Its fairly cheap considering its under 10 mill. If you want it then just buy it.

I feel you. I am way over 150 runs myself and i still haven't seen the hair. By now i just run DR sporadically, when I don't have anything better to do and I am in the mood. I don't hope for the hair anymore. Maybe one day we'll be able to buy it with coins, who knows.

I feel like the rare drop rate is a bit punishing considering the content is already locked behind a level 80 relic-related raid. The baked-in rarity of the drops is going to crash headfirst into the fact that people will (are) overwhelmingly lose interest in the content once we have other things to do.

To the best of my knowledge, they haven't nerfed the drop rates of mounts in any of the Eurekan content. I could be wrong about that, though.

My point is, I think it'd be neat if they let you purchase the mount/hair/barding with gold coins, even if it's an obscene amount of gold coins. Much like EX runs have totems to purchase things, it'd be nice to have something similar for DR.

My FC's WHM got the hair style on his 2nd run... the rest of the FC is looking at 50 runs if you add them all together and no one else has seen it

Several reason. I have mentioned them somewhere before but I’ll just list them out again:
#1 I have high hopes for ShB Relics, aesthetically.
#2 BSF and related contents doesn’t seem to be futureproof, at least at this point.
#3 You mentioned ARR Relic, so I’ll tell you my perspective: ”I have survived dealing with half of the ARR Relics. They are the worst imho, so I’m sure I can deal with ShB relics just fine, right?”
#4 I actually enjoyed contents like this because I get to do something that’s not in our traditional “trifecta-roles” setup.

Hair is just a bonus, it’s not something that I’d actively try to farm for—especially once I finish upgrading everything. I am however, still genuinely surprised how I still yet to see the hairstyle drop, at all. But I'll just go with what I said before: RNG's gonna be RNG.

Now it would be better if I can have some other way to spend these silver coins because exchanging them for gold coins isn’t gonna cut out in case SE decides to add something that’s only trade-able with silvers in future.
