Ironically it only became an issue on said server when world visit was enabled. People came to see the degeneracy, got upset it didn't really exist outside of private functions and one-off individuals, and then decided to make the meme a reality.
People are only going to believe this when it fits their narrative.
Imo people spamming emotes in chat are five hundred billion times more annoying and affect people a lot more negatively than people ERP:ing ( unless they're doing the spamming ).
If people ERP and you don't like it you can ignore them.
I mean that same argument is an argument homophobes make too against gay people holding hands and kissing in public.
'' Oh I don't hate gay people, I just don't want to see it. ''
It is a little different I guess one could argue because sure some things aren't allowed in public irl either, but you also can't add people to an ignore list irl either and there's no nudity in the game.
And sexuality does exist within the game content too.
My general view on this is that if you want to limit what other players do you better have a much better reason for it than just '' I don't like it, it's icky ''.

I don't really like what you're implying here, but perhaps I'm misreading it. Regardless, I have made my stance clear. I don't care what people do as long as it's not breaking any real life laws or harassing others. I just don't think these things belong in the party finder. Sure, I can ignore it and I usually do. That doesn't mean I feel any differently about it though. People use Discord for just about everything. I don't see why this couldn't be any different.
It's annoying yes, and in the grand scheme of things it is probably worse- But it's a matter of principle more than it is anything, you don't make explicit sexual/erotic conversations in a public space where people not of appropriate age can see it.Imo people spamming emotes in chat are five hundred billion times more annoying and affect people a lot more negatively than people ERP:ing ( unless they're doing the spamming ).

This is the biggest leap I've ever seen- not even remotely the same thing, and false equivalence. For the reason specified above. Don't do sexual/erotic conversations in a public space, keep it to DMs, and keep it to people with who you trust, I guess. Especially seeing as the terms specifies that you agree to act appropriately in accordance with the minimum age requirement of the game. If a male Au Ra wants to dote a male Miqo'te, go for it, run wild. Just don't do explicit erotic conversations in a public space.
I agree, the game has 'sexual' content in-game, but the stark difference is that it is only implied/suggestive content, and not explicit- a direct conversation between 2 individuals is explicit, however.
I'll be the first to admit I've done it previously on several occasions, and on all of those occasions, it has been with people who I consider very close and trustworthy with a very accurate idea of their age. Taking it in a public space is however disgusting on a matter of principle.
Not sure what you think I am implying, altho I was responding to another guy.I don't really like what you're implying here, but perhaps I'm misreading it. Regardless, I have made my stance clear. His comment was pushed back I dunno if some comment here was deleted or something.
I am not saying that you need to feel differently, what I am saying is that your feelings shouldn't limit and override what other people want to do unless you have a very good reason.
Like people spamming the chat with emotes for example has a practical reason as to why it's not allowed, because it makes chat almost impossible to use for anyone in the near vicinity.
Other people ERP:ing doesn't affect you any differently than any other sort of RP does outside of your personal feelings.
I do like it.Wait you do not like boobie armour or bikini mail? Gasp!
I agree though to be fair the opinion of the inner circles do a degree has always had more value then one singular person or the artist if they are on the smaller scale. It only becomes moot after they have achieved their own following so to speak. My friend who is a artist put it nicely, your dream is to create your own personal echo chamber so all other critiques get muffled out. Until then sadly their voices should not matter but they do.
I just don't like people who constantly have to pester everyone about how they don't like it.
Like it'd be cool to be able to look in the comment section of an art piece where a female character doesn't dress like a nun and not have people pretend to be armchair armor experts or complain about modesty.
It doesn't happen with male characters really, I don't think I've ever in my life seen anyone complain about it even when it's a male character who's just in a loincloth in freezing snowy weather.
People kinda just gotta learn to just accept and tolerate the fact that not everything in all of existence is meant for them, and that they don't have to complain about it when it's not.

Including sexual violence btw, this isn't a kid friendly game even tho there's a lot of cutsey things in the game.
And that's not even getting into genocides and murder in the game, there is far worse things in the actual main story.
'' People not of appropriate age '' can literally see it anywhere.
I honestly think that it's mostly adults worrying about this too tbh, I kinda think that people are just bringing up kids as a way of trying to load this whole conversation emotionally.
I am an adult it's not my responsibility to babysit other people kids, and kids will see a lot '' worse '' on Twitter or even Youtube.

Like I said; there's a difference between a suggestive reference to a sexual act, as opposed to something that is an explicit, and very in-depth exchange of words between 2 individuals. Go ahead and do an explicit exchange of sexual conversation in Limsa with someone and see how long it is before you're warned or suspended for inappropriate behavior. Not sure what you think I am implying, altho I was responding to another guy.

You're right it isn't your responsibility to babysit them but it is your responsibility to act appropriately around them, and that includes not exposing them to something that isn't even age-appropriate. People are bringing this up because it has severe repercussions for all individuals involved. To find such things on Twitter and YouTube you need to go out of your way in search of it.

I feel ya. Though I an one of the people that complain about fantasy design. Though I am heavily into HEMA. Though my main complaint has less to with what they are wearing though mail bikini armor is woefully impractical. Stems from the body types more then anything, it does trigger me when I see a design of a female character that looks like a run way model instead of a warrior when they are trying to portray them. Put a little muscle on them does not have to be a lot.
Though overall I am in agreement.
