A lottery would even invite bots more to do it... and also for not being there the competion for getting a house would rapidly increase as it would not be 5 people camping the plot, but 100 that has entered the lottery.

To avoid botting and to avoid people sitting wasting time, it would be better if you had 3 clicks per day per plot..

The timer needs to go but just removing it will give way to house flipping cretins. Hell, even if it didn't, imagine what would be required to buy a house, you'd need to race to your choice of ward selector and browse through the wards as fast as you can to get a CHANCE at peeking at wgite numbers and some guy already is racing to that place.

Nah, you need to give people time to know that the house is there for sale. I'd say make it 24hrs and make VISIBLE, byt that would just create a massive click war, every time, which might as well just be a lottery given how random that would be. Also, you'd need some premium Internet to be able to buy a house under those circumstances, giving people equal chances is much better on that case.

Nah, you need to give people time to know that the house is there for sale. I'd say make it 24hrs and make VISIBLE, byt that would just create a massive click war, every time, which might as well just be a lottery given how random that would be. Also, you'd need some premium Internet to be able to buy a house under those circumstances, giving people equal chances is much better on that case.

The main reason why there are so many threads because people don't research and do a mega discussion thread to consolidate all ideas and keep updating it. It is always some random guy spit out a shorted-sight idea the leaves. Most of important of all, Lottery will not increase your chance to get a house and in matter of fact it will lower it gradually. Consider on how NA players behave on forum, the tear from QQing will form a river.

This is a dumb, short-sighted, lack of insight idea and it does nothing to resolve supply vs demand issue

And the alternative is that players sit around for literal hours of their finite life competing against - *checks notes*... Housing bots continually clicking the placard even after it's been sold. Yeah, nah, even if I have to compete with a bunch of alts/bots I still have a much better chance of enjoying the rest of the game and my ever dwindling lifespan through a lottery system.

A lottery would only serve to decrease your chance at getting a house. It would need to be dismissive of entrants to even give people a chance.
The only way I figured this could work is if you had to pay the money for the plot up front, and if you lose the draw you don't get anything back.

Even then I don't think it's better than what we have now.

Exactly. This has been said in every thread that has brought up a lottery system. Seems like some people simply don't want to think about what they are suggesting.

I find that most people who suggest lottery are only thinking about how much they hate spamming a placard. Yes that is an issue that needs to be fixed but that issue stems from others which need to be addressed to truly fix things. Only tackling the symptom will not work.

Lottery is a terrible idea. It would merely be swapping one set of problems for another. That's not a fix.
