Like you said, a lot more could probably be available than what we have now, but they would absolutely have to make the adjusted hair models before anything else. And then look for secondary issues like the feathers on Thavnairian Turban.

I think they're just not up for the added work and have washed their hands of the situation with a blanket 'no hats', which is fair enough when you look at the amount of headgear in the game, but definitely disappointing as plenty of headgear wouldn't have such extreme interactions with a proper adjusted hair model.

I'm not saying they just plop hat on their head. They could conceivably make hat hair as they do everyone else, viera doesn't have that many hairs. Like you say though, they may just not be up to the added work. Not even for select headpieces that would work.

I must have misinterpreted what you meant by 'regardless of hair' then.

Making the hat hair would be extra work but it seems like a one-and-done type of deal, checking how every hat interacts with 4 ear types and then making a (subjective) judgement on whether or not that looks good enough would be the most work I'd think.

In terms of ear clipping the first, second and fifth image look fine to me, while the night cap and turban I'm iffy about as well.

But even just opening up the more flat models would be a lot more options.

I do hope that Viera and hrothgar gets more headgear in 6,0 it should not as hard to make if they are making new headgear instead of just reskin the old ones.

I was so excited to see this! At first I thought the helmet used a hood model, which would be nothing new for hroth to be able to wear. But this one visers, as seen on the lala, which is totally new to hroth. It’s been only hoods or helms that cover the whole head with no viser option. Pretty excited they’ve put in the effort here.

Certainly agree. I find it hard to believe it'll be almost 2 years with nothing new. One has to hope 6.0 will bring some major additions to both races. The fact that there is a head piece for 5.5 might kindle some hope but that flame is barely flickering at the moment.

It's nothing new. They've had open hoods before.

It seems to be specific styles that work for them, but that isn't a sign that they're going to be able to wear everything.
