    Mentors who act inappropriately, or invite those who are severely unruly, and show a pattern of it (inviting friends on alts who harass other players in the network) should be removed, and indefinitely so.

    In fact I would be a fan of the mentor system removed entirely, and creating an open server chat (essentially replacing the Novice Network) with much tighter moderation enforced.

    It's become such a shell of what they envisioned it to be. I agree with you the quicker they take it out back behind the woodshed and let it be done the better.

    SE barely moderates these forums, and you honestly expect them to moderate an on the fly, real time chat system? Not happening.

    Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
    Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
    Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]

    Sorry, there was an implicit desire/recommendation. Not expectancy. Apparently, that wasn't clear enough.

    What one hopes for, and what one expects are 2 entirely different things. I don't think they will, but they should with some of the situations that have been happening as of late.
