Going to point out that level skip potions also come with 500k gil per skip purchased. I'm not too versed in it myself, so I'm not sure if the 500k is a one time thing per character, but... that is real in game advantage.

If someone has deep enough pockets, they can buy a skip on an alt for every single combat job that isn't newly introduced. This means a total of 7 million gil obtained legally through SE's online store. If it's one time per character, then they can just keep creating alts and buying 500k gil, and then transferring it to the character they intend to raid on via an FC chest or through friends/raidmates.

Obviously, hardcore people are not averse to RMT, but the skips have literally introduced a legal variation of RMT, though obviously the return per real currency spent is atrocious.

This means, if your pockets are deep and you have the inclination, then you can do zero work and obtain full pentamelded crafted gear right at the start of each patch that has it. That is a real advantage for Savage content, as well as many other things outside of that content. Buy enough gil this way(or others), and you can also pay people off to do things for you or do things like manipulate housing and Altana knows whatever else.

It only works in Diablo because it's not a mmorpg. It's a mostly single player game and while there is co-op it's very small groups.


devs endorse pay to win then I wouldn't be playing this game.

It didn't work in diablo, thats why they removed it. And content sellers are the pay to win option which SE doesn't even dealing with.
