It seems like there's probably a disconnect between what people mean and say.

I would think that the thing people dont necessarily want is a "young" appearance, but a "youthful" one. The best way I can explain the difference is if youve ever seen any shoujo manga's with tall handsome delicate men would be more 'youthful' versus a shounen manga where the characters are mid teens or something and are 'young'.

In that regards, Male Miqote doesnt really fit the bill IMO (to stocky) and hte male Hyur baby face is really, well, odd. Makes me think of those meme images of some ripped 20 something year old guy wearing the crying baby face mask.

this all being said, they need to widen up the age range as it is. The older models are all "Craggy Old MoFo" in design, like they spent 20 years under the Yuma sun, or wierd angular faces that dont quite work (looking at the AuRa Male old face). I mean its cool at times, but mostly its just wtf.

Agree, I think the models themselves are aging quite fine (need a texture upscale tho!), but the available options are abysmal.

The top offender is probably the number of faces. 04 for most of the races... It doesn't help at all that the nose/mouth/eye shape/eyebrows/jaw make little difference in the end, and you'll probably see a lot of clones of yourself running around. If these smaller options aren't very drastic, they'd need at least 3 new faces for every race/gender to make things better.

Literally the only thing in XIV's character creation that we have in abundance are hairstyles! I would say hair and skin colors, but in the end, many shades are very similar to each other.

Hrothgar and Viera is literal Oof when it comes to customization. I am hoping that this is fixed come next xpac.

Im sure they will. Until proven wrong, I think "Something" will be addressed.
Can't say if its "Missing Genders" or even something like "More Customization" then we have "More Headgear"
Until YoshiP & the Devs make me look stupid, I believe at least one thing or multiple things will happen. They had 2 years, at least 1 thing will happen

More hair options and head gear are also higly unlikely, I really think that the msot likely thing to happen is they dont adress it at all.

Well they have actually already mentioned more hair options for Viera and Hrothgar a long while back, and as for head gear Yoshida in a fairly recent interview said they working on but its not high in priority, as usual. Im certain we'll get couple more options for both, but still a far cry from what other races have.
