I don't doubt it's intentional. I just don't agree with it. lolI think it's intentional. They want the older raids to become easier so that people do them in roulettes. Even orbonne is MUCH, MUCH EASIER today than it was when it first came out due to gear. If it wasn't they could just lower the syncing cap to keep people closer to gear levels from when they were relevant, but they don't.
The nier raids too will succumb to this in 6.0 when people are level 90 and ilvl 600 or w/e.
Leveling isn't too hard though. Heck, they could be lvl 60 before they even touched a lot of the MSQ if they played their cards right.
I think it's necessary at least to a degree. If Orbonne for example was just as hard as on release, a lot of people would just jump ship when it comes up, or not have the patience to teach new people trying to get their clears so they can get into bozja or just see the story etc.

To some degree, yeah. I agree with that. But not to the levels it is currently.I think it's necessary at least to a degree. Probs one of the things that compelled them to implement a stat squish.
Though as I understand it the ease of old duties is not because of your gear. Crystal Tower was easier in ShB than SB despite the game synching you down to the same level. Why? Potency creep making our attacks just legitimately better. Your kit simply pumps out more damage.
I've noticed that exploding skeletons in Labyrinth of the ancients can still wipe parties if they all go off at the same time and the healers aren't prepared. If gear creep were behind it we'd all just feel a tickle and keep moving. We're not more tanky, we just output damage like nothing else because the primary culprit is our kits.

Increased stats = more damage, so that is also a factor.Probs one of the things that compelled them to implement a stat squish.

It doesn't matter if your crit is 9000 or 99999999, it'll synch down to the same value when you enter the Crystal Tower.
Coming in with a larger number means nothing so long as you reach the cap your stats can synch down to (which for Crystal Tower I think you can do with level 55-58 gear).
thats what i said but he didnt wanna level something he didnt wanted just to start the job he wanted fully leveled. Hes one of those ppl that likes to level what he likes
