Banning players whom paid SE for their goods and services and didn't violate TOS would be illegal.

Well then if it's just mercenary services then it should be fine right? SE can check if it was gil that was traded over and they can check IP logs right?

Purchasing items with gil is legal in this game. Checking the logs is pointless over legal activates.
