This move would be cooler in multiple mobs situations to use on a mob attacking you from behind. At least THEN it would make sense and probably be rather cool.

Ummm XI. Let's see typical WS went like this:
Get TP>Twink gear>execute WS>twink back gear>continue attack. You can't even attempt to change gear in XIV like you could in XI. The damn mob would b dead b4 you pulled off this move. LOL

animation lock=plan your attacks.
if your so scared on an lock and cant execute your attacks then just AA the whole time.

True but kind of takes away from the freedom of doing what you wish as a player; it's almost in a small way handicapping you. I think many of us have learned this but it's still a bummer no doubt.

i just think of it as doing huge damage will come will a small time penalty. I dont know what the other option would be. A few seconds of invincibility after you WS?
would poeple rather have turn based combat?

Nothing wrong with the ws... It's the damn sword. its too colorful and it look like the designed went out of control.

I like it, it is something besides just a stab and a swing around.

I think it should be calmer and "holy-er" but this isn't bad at all.
its just a lv50 weapon skill.

Well... TBC isn't bad. I don't mind TBC for games such as Wakfu but for FF; no I wouldn't. I'll say this, XIV is the only MMO I have played where I noticed this issue. SE is well aware of the problem and hopefully when the new server farms go active in 2.0, this issue will be resolved.
Otherwise like you said, learn from it. Adapt and overcome and move on until ...
