And just because you pay a sub does not mean you should get everything without a tiny bit of effort.

It took me over a year to get a house and it took several months of work to get the money for it. I did not put in only a tiny bit of effort. At the time my server rarely had open plots.

Obtaining a house is not a small feat. People put enough time, money and gil into their houses already. They've paid enough. Housing is not the same as Savage raiding either. Get over yourself.

EU may have a lot of open plots on certain servers now but NA...the shortage issue there is a huge problem. Savage raiding is actually more accessible than housing. All that a tax would achieve is make it even harder for new players to enjoy housing. But it seems some people don't care if their ideas would create a class divide. Maybe it's what they want. This tax suggestion is starting to look more and more like thinly veiled elitism.
