As far as I can tell, there aren't any enrage timers in DR normal outside of the shield phase at the Queen's Guard and the bosses melt in a premade 24 man that's actually using essences and DPS-boosting lost actions, so it should be reasonably undersizable.

You can't undersize it if you can't queue for it with undersized settings though. It's like PotD's queuing system which doesn't let you do that.

As someone who HAS all that Eureka elemental stuff I need to try this. I did not realize you could get that kind of money for those things. And yes, with it soloing in Eureka is VERY easy for most of the mobs.

It can but it’s not. And most people who do, do it for themselves. I started doing it recently with a small group and 4/5 of us got the copycat minion in a week of Pyros. Yet it’s selling on the market board for around 5 million. That elvaan minion is going for even more yet again doesn’t seem that rare, just not too many people go that far now.
As for DR, yes doesn’t look like it can be queued undersize, but I imagine with the weeklies, people levelling and discord groups, it’s going to be alive for some time.

Yes but on the same tokens items lose their prestige when anyone can be carried through a raid that never ever fails and is guaranteed to get it.Which was always an incredibly stupid design philosophy. There's a reason it has nearly died out completely. Low drop rates are fine, but they lose their effectiveness the more absurd they get. It also encourages people not to use Lost Actions/Essence because by their 30th run, they just don't give a damn any more.
A far better alternative is making it also available with silver coins. That way players know "okay, if I get x amount, I'll be able to buy it." Which is what they did with EX mounts.
I mean you’re asking for a participation trophy. Some things in game should be rare.

I mean they could make it cost like 30-50 gold coins
it still have its value but theres a alternative to get it
farm it out or do weekly till you get it
I dont see how adding a stable way that makes the reward not purely based on rng hurts the prestige.
An item can still be rare when locked behind a long but trackable grind.
Also it’s just my personal thought but i dont see any prestige in the hairstyle since...you know, it could just be some super lucky guy got carried through the fight...

What baffles me is how people don't understand that adding items to a token system doesn't make them less rare than something you might get on your first run. If the hair and mount cost 999 silver coins or whatever it would be just as rare, if not rarer because it would still take over 50 runs and only the dedicated will get their hands on it. The only thing it does is add QoL so some unlucky person won't statistically get the short end of the stick and end up with nothing after 100 runs.
Rng is an old, outdated system. The people who like rng don't want rarity, they want to get lucky every so often and have a "rare" item without having had to work too hard for it.
Yeah, the fact that you can just buy the drops off the marketboard without ever setting foot in DR removes any sort of perceived "prestige" already.Ignore Vickii, they're one of the local forum trolls.

Having the items just means you either got lucky or have gil to burn.
