[Absurdity]

Absolute BiS is mostly a reward from Savage.
Which means you're already clearing Savage with other gear. Typically a mix of Crafted and Tome gear, or the previous tiers Savage gear.
So you can absolutely gear up multiple jobs to a level at which you can play Savage content with them, they just won't be BiS, but this shows that's not necessary. Not all obviously, not as many as you can gear up for regular, non-Savage content, but at least 2-3.

My issue wasn't about simply gearing a job, it is specifically about BiS. The need for BiS is rather limited, mainly ultimates and/or log runs but when you're trying to gear multiple jobs for said things it becomes a pain in the backside, even more so when they're not within the same role category. Of course you don't need BiS to do savage, you can do that in crafted gear, but that's also not what I was talking about.


The change from gear pieces to coffers actually made even just gearing your main job harder if you're pugging the fights, because you can safely assume that everyone in the pug is always gonna roll need on every coffer, even if they already have the item that just dropped.
