Cool. I suppose people are just animated in their debates. Still, it's very different from any game subreddit I've been in.If you look through my history you'll notice I get into quite a bit of drama myself. Go to another thread however, and I'm complimenting the same person, we're talking about improvements that can be made, making concessions etc etc.
There's a few notable trolls (MPK for example) but otherwise it's water under the bridge in the next thread, so long as it wasn't anything too serious.
Welcome to gaming forums for mmos. They're usually like this and many are far far worse.
Subreddits tend to be quite different due to how moderation in fan generated communities is often very unlike how it's done on official platforms. The ability to downvote also makes it easier for people to silently shoot down what is obviously a very stupid or offensive post, or a troll.
Interesting observation about the ability to downvote. I noticed there's only the ability to upvote here, and any thread seems to get bumped to the top by just replying. Doesn't seem to be sorted by amount of likes in any way.Welcome to gaming forums for mmos. They're usually like this and many are far far worse.

Very much what I came here to say.
I think it's the official forums that attract it the most, especially trolls. It probably doesn't help that this is a place where devs get feedback, so I think people can be more vocal about what they disagree with or more vocal about certain issues. I think there is also this perception that bad decisions are influenced by the community.
But I try to be polite and respectful with the opinions I disagree with, but sometimes people will come in with poor attitudes or to simply troll, by which point you choose how you deal with it and those people aren't always willing to listen to reason and I think that's mostly where drama can brew. But it's not across the board, there are some really good discussions t hat come out of this place too and genuinely good feedback.
