    The poignant fact about that female Viera hat mod is that 99% of the hats don't have clipping issues with the ears, yes, even the bent ears don't have major problems. Some of the hairs do have problems but that can be fixed when they create the "hair-hat" model every hair gets.


    Not really different to this


    Or the many issues with one of Miqo'te's identifying body parts

    The person who made that mod was on Reddit and said that all they really did was go through each piece of headgear and manually tick the box to force them to show, took them about 3 hours all in all.

    There wasn't any complicated creation process to make new hat models or making them fit, just undoing the same checks client-side that SE has put in to make them invisible.

    They've already made this as well to use alongside the hat mod, not all hairstyles are supported yet but the majority have hat-models now.

    So both Viera and Hrothgar can use hats without major hair clipping now, just not "officially".

    So that's what's preventing us from having hats and helmets on Viera? A damn tickbox? SE makes it sound like they would have to create a 2 year process to make hats show on Viera.
    All they have to do is create a "hair-hat" model for Viera hair, which might take what? 2 weeks at the most? maybe a month? They need to stop holding Viera back just because they wanted to add a beast-like race so bad (Hrothgar) and just let Viera be. The people who wanted beast-like races knew from the get-go that creating beast-like races would have problems because of their beastial proportions; Viera on the other hand is like all other FF races, a human with an animal appendage. Hrothgar on the other hand is literally the head of a lion; try putting hats/helmets on this thing? This is what's delaying everything


    Fix Hrothgar on a different timeline from Viera.

    I'd rather not attack hrothgar for viera being in the state they are in. Actually hrothgar get more access to headgear than viera. SE just seems to be very content with these races being limited. They also may have an aesthetic vision for both, as they stated viera would receive racially unique hairstyles. Viera should be able to use most of the modern aesthetics, just as my miqo'te does - with some minor alterations to account for ear position.

    Omg, the onion knight hat looks so cute with the flopped ears!!! I wish they’d just let us choose if it bothers us. I already do that when my current hairstyle eats half the flower crown or the EB veil.

    Has anyone figured out a mass fix for hroth yet? I thought their ears are static...kinda shocked the devs didn’t go the miqo route and just make them disappear or have the static template where they have little ear socks/holes.

    This isn't even a Hrothgar issue since people already have some of that done on them as well.
