I hope not, I think Redmage really suits her. Now with Endwalker, all of the Legacy Scions have gone through an evolution.

That was what I was thinking, if it is I'm definitely interested in trying it.
It's probably too early for this, but the academic in me would really love if it coincided with
Allisaie completing an Archon thesis on novel treatment methods for those who have been tempered by primal energies
Error 3102 Club, Order of the 52nd Hour
I'm definitely hoping we see Alisaie get a new job. After that one cutscene it would really feel like they did her dirty by just giving her a slight change of clothes.
And, yeah, no interest at all in seeing Zenos and the WoL using the same weapon again, especially if Zenos does start using a scythe. It worked with katanas because of it being an age old classic Japanese movie trope. A scythe VS scythe duel would, frankly, just look stupid.
As long as she can still jump off balcony's and do a cool mid-air pose, I'll be happy.
Journey to all fish: 1383/1729 (348 remaining) [79%]
I know Estenian is the staple dragoon for story but its quite possible he is the one who gets the new job. We've been told we get him added to the trust system too.
The hints to the job of being something like a reaper job which would aesthetically make more sense on estenian than alisae.
There's also the fact that we're going to Garlemand. This will likely result in gaius and nero participating in our aid as they both know the turf.Either one of those could also be a potential canditate for new job especially when you consider that thancred is now the token gunblade wielder.
Nero's a candidate because if the job involves any kind of magiteck we are well aware that he's an adapt fighter and likes to study allag technology too and has even forged his own new weapons. He pops in and out of story but not for too long and some of the events have been side content but i feel that now we are going to enter garlemand he will have a larger part to play in story.
I am pretty sure YoshiP said it'll be a job new to Final Fantasy, Runefencer is in XI and Templar is in tactics.
But I am on board for some of the "Reaper" predictions, this has the strongest hints thus far. Although we have a scythe wielding aesthetic in other titles, like FFXI's DRK but nothing that fulfills a reaping job fantasy - FFXI DRK has cues. it'd be appropriate for the themes of the expansion and for Zenos to pick up (I reckon that's gonna be the next part of the trailer), maybe it's Zenos who gets the upgrade. And going by the FFXI comparison, the version of DRK we've got I think if in how its designed to play is probably closer to FFXI Runefencer, a greatsword wielding & self enhancing tank who uses magic shields. Though Runefencer was elemental rather than dark magic. DRK was more of a scythe wielding (though it could use greatswords) glass cannon that'd sacrifice defense and health for power and then a dark magic focus. Its scythe weapon skills played to a reaping aesthetic and there was a use of various drain spells, and I wonder if they'll take those cues instead and make a new job out of it. Maybe something that drains the life force of its enemies to get stronger - so maybe certain attacks could trigger buffs with that theme. Of course, pure speculation.
Estinien is already melee and he's been gone for a while. I bet he's going to show up before the expansion with a new weapon.
